Fuddruckers is a really good, really pricey, "classic" burger place. They've been around for a while - and I believe this is the last location in Canada. "Back in the day," otherwise known to me as the 90's, Fudds was legendary for their food. You walked in and could see the fresh cut meat hanging in the in-store butcher. The smell from the bakeshop was warm and comforting. And the place was packed with families waiting for an epic burger (and good value), freshly made and ready for you to dress it up however the heck you wanted it. Nowadays a lot of the same things are present, but not all the right ones. The butcher is gone, and so is the super fresh flavour that comes with it. Maybe Fudds still fresh grinds their own patties, but I doubt it, and it doesn't taste like it. I didn't smell anything coming out of the bakeshop the last two times I was there, but that only means I wasn't there at the right time. Because there is still a desert counter, which is where the nice thick milkshakes are still made! My 10-year old says the shake was, "meh," because the flavour wasn't consistently mixed in. Despite the lack of a butcher, the burgers are still pretty good. Decent sized, nice tasting (but not remarkable) on a fresh, bouncy bun that I can dress however I please at a nearby cooler and condiments station. Unfortunately good isn't great enough to justify the price. With a combo meal (fries and drink), even the smallest burger is around $20. That adds up super fast with a family of 5 where not everyone gets the smallest burger and basic combo. The average for a family of 5 was around $130, which is a bit much for burgers for our family. But if the cost doesn't scare you, and you don't mind the wait to order and then the wait to get food (or find a table on a busy day) then Fuddruckers might be a good stop for you. Everyone should check out Fudds at least once - like Bubba Gumps - but if It's not blowing you away that first time it won't get any better, so judge accordingly! And, since you're there, don't forget to get in some mini golf or hit the batting cages during the summer months. That's the main reason we...
Read moreFuddruckers is an American fast casual, franchised restaurant chain that specializes in hamburgers. There are so many franchised restaurants in Canada. The one we’ve been is located on 8th Street East Saskatoon. It was my first time having food at this place. We arrived the restaurant around 8 pm. Even though it had already passed dinner time, there are still lots of customers having food at the restaurant.
Environment: Fuddruckers is a large size restaurant. Lots of tables inside the restaurants, which is a good place to hold a party. People can order their food first at the front of the restaurant. Then, they can find the seat inside. There are many seats and tables there, so people don’t need to worry about to find a place to sit.
Service: The restaurant has only a few servers around customers. They don’t serve drinks and food. They are doing the cleaning after people eat. They cleaned the table very fast. The people who worked at the front were nice and friendly. If you have any misunderstanding of the menu, they will explain to you.
Food/Price: We ordered four different sizes of burger meat patties with different sides. Three of us ordered pop drinks and my boyfriend had a milkshake. This place is a very interesting. You will get your drinks and food by yourself. So, after we ordered the food, the people who took the order, gave us an electronic number. Once our food (Burger Meat Patties) ready, the number will turn on to remind us. After 10 ~ 15 mins waiting, our food was finally ready. We picked up our burgers first and then went to the topping section to get toppings. We could pick anything we want. The Burger meat patties were fresh and well cooked, but they were less flavors. After we added toppings, they were tasted decent. The prices of the food were a little bit expensive. In summary, It was a unique...
Read moreWhat a fun place! If you are coming from out of town, then it's a must to stop at! The food is fantastic, and it's fun to have access to the toppings buffet for your burgers, etc. There are so many different sauces/condiments to choose from. If you order soda, then you get a cup and its unlimited refills. It can be a little bit overwhelming if you have never been - you order first, then you find a seat/table, and you go get the food when your number is up - it goes really quick even when its busy. If you order dessert or a milkshake from the main food counter, then they give you a table number, and someone from the bakery/dessert counter will come out with those items to your table for you. And the desserts are so yummy. The rice krispie squares are delicious! There is also a butcher shop on site with their burger patties, etc, for sale. There are plenty of tables & chairs for dining in. It's a large parking lot, including handicap spaces, and there are several other activities on the grounds: like mini golf, batting cages, an arcade, etc. Great place to have birthday parties...
