Absolutely not worth going here anymore. Ever since the renovations and the new systems and everything, this location has exponentially gone downhill with their service and quality.
On multiple occasions, the staff have messed up my orders and have totally forgotten the things they really shouldn’t be. (for example: forgetting my big mac when I ordered a big mac meal..?)
As a fast food worker myself I’ve tried to be as understanding and patient as possible, but there was the one time around last month where they took 3 hours. THREE. HOURS! on my two poutines. When the poutines were finally out, they were drier and colder than the winters here in Saskatoon. No joke.
After that incident and many other inconveniences, I’ve avoided going to this location. However the other day, I decided to come in to this location out of convenience for my friends and it was once again a very disappointing experience.
The service was rude, and straight-up clueless. (I question the training that is being done.) Furthermore, my bag was missing not one, but two fries, and I was given the wrong drink. When I approached the counter to resolve the situation, the staff consistently just stared at me but ignored me and then would look back occasionally. — (Now YES, I know, there are multiple stations. Certain staff may not be trained in service and may be more focused on the grill, I know that. However, the staff that ignored me continuously were: 1. Not busy or even doing cleaning/closing/ANY task literally & 2. Definitely TRAINED for service as I witnessed them taking drive thru orders and front orders 20 minutes before my order.)
My hope is that this McDonalds figures it out with their staff and overall work ethic, as I have not had the most pleasant experience. I’ve always gone to this McDonald’s; it was a classic hangout spot for me back in high school when I was younger. Read moreThis location has always had questionable service (you never know if you're going to be waiting 20 minutes, get cold food that tastes like cardboard, or if you'll get what you ordered at all) before they renovated the store in 2023, but it has been objectively worse since then.
Last night a shift manager closed the store but left mobile ordering open. I get that being short-staffed imposes limitations on a 24-hour store, but it seems like they've been short staffed for years now. Whoever owns this store needs to find someone who knows how to properly train, recruit, and retain staff competent and reliable enough to do the work.
Had to come inside for a mobile order because curbside pickup was unavailable and drive-thru was closed. All but 1 restaurant door was locked. Kitchen staff was confused about why orders were still coming in, manager made jokes about us being "special guests" and said they would make the food anyway despite me and another customer requesting to just cancel it. He joked around with friends while making bad jokes with us while we waited. Got 8 forks for my 2 McFlurries but no spoons. He kept grabbing food from the counter and mixing up our orders, trying to hand things to us before the order was complete. He asked the other guy to sing or dance before handing over his food and after being told no twice, walked after the guy and sang at him as he left. A complete fever dream of a wildly uncomfortable and unprofessional visit.

When we finally get to order, the order taker who was taking my order didn't even let me finish. She was a girl wearing a surgeon mask. She was rude and told me to drive ahead without me confirming my orders! When I got to the first window I told her to add to my orders, but she didn't follow the exact request! We both got very little amount of fries and When I got to the pick up window, the lady gave me the wrong wrap and my wife didn't get her extra stuff in her wrap, so I had to go back inside just to change the wrong order. However the wrap that they replaced barely had anything inside. Not to mention that the lady making food weren't wearing any gloves and was touching her face quite often. Also had to wait at the front because nobody bothered to help me and was just looking at me. Basically I needed to call them after quite some time.
