Not impressed. The server said no problem we can substitute! She neglected to say that they charge you to substitute. Remove beef or chicken and substitute for beans or rice (less expensive than beef or chicken) they charge you extra! Remove sour cream or cheese and substitute for fresh salsa... they charge you extra! So a meatless, dairy free taco is going to cost you more $. Seems ridiculous when meat and dairy costs way more $ than the pennies it costs for rice or beans. Taco Time does not nickle and dime you for making actual substitutions. I don't mind paying the same price as a meat product but definitely not MORE! Especially considering the product we end up with costs way less $ to produce. As far as flavour goes, their beans and rice did not have much flavour. Taco Time beats them on flavour for beans, rice & guac. However, I enjoyed the flavour of TB fresh salsa over TT. As others have mentioned they skimp big time on the hot sauce. Which comes in tiny ketchup size packets, maybe a tsp amount each. We had 3 Crunchwraps, 2 double decker tacos, 2 fries and they gave us 3 tiny little packets of hot sauce. Fries were nice & their combo sizes are generous for the $ , provided you don't do any substitutions! Who "designed" the drive thru? Whomever it was, must have been asleep at the wheel. Where in the world did they imagine the cars were...
Read moreThe hot sauce was good and the line up was not so bad. Everything else not so much. Portion size was really pathetic. I didn't have TB for several years, and I hope this was just a new store thing where they are trying NOT to run out of stuff. They wrapped (loosely stated) a soft shell taco like as if it was hard shell (they ran out of hard shell), thus when you opened up the wrapper, just about everything was already out of the soft shell. My wife's and mine Fries supreme was about a 1/4 of what it used to be like. In a big box a few fries that would have probably been able to be skewered on one fork. My wife's Beef Crunch Wrap Supreme was primarily lettuce and cheese. The ground beef was so little that she originally thought she got the wrong order. I will give them one more shot in a month or two, but if it still the same (I never thought I will ever say this because TB used to be a whole lot better than TacoTime) if they don't improve I will go to TT as they are right now clearly the winners. So if you have a hankering for Tacos, do them up yourself, or go to TT. TB right now is a waste of money. And for all of you that say why I didn't return it, It was a takeout. Was not worth the gas. Conclusion... Stay...
Read moreThe tacos are skinny not hardly any filling in them. The fake orange cheese on the tacos gave me diarrhea. When we sat down to eat the restaurant is divided up to where the customers are able to sit and eat. And there is another section blocked off due to covid. As we sat down the radio was blasting over the speakers, I asked for one of the employees to turn it down. We began to eat our food. Then one of the employees sat down in the area that was block off due to covid. As he was sitting having his break he started blasting his phone. Once again I asked an employee to tell him to turn it down, being it was now his own break and blasting his phone. Over-all the food is not good at all the employees are rude. If there was no covid, most work places provide a separate place not where the customers sit and eat.but completely out of site and out of mind of the customers. They should be a staff room in the back !!! Business etiquette should always be in playwhen running a business dealing with the public/ consumers/ customers!!! I would never go back I'll go to TACO TIME any day...
