Canada 2105 8th St, Saskatooon
Firstly, I would like to preface this by saying I am a long-time Wendy's customer that would like anything but to see an improvement in, both, the sanitary and personal levels at this location. I live nearby and would frequent this business between my business days, however.
This restaurant has an abundance of flies around it. It often takes over 10 minutes to place an order. One time, the bill time on a breakfast wrap actually eclipsed 30 minutes. My entire trip took 40+ minutes to get a breakfast wrap.
This Wendy's has predatory hiring practices. Preferring to hire Indians. Which have abysmal customer service and language skills and are extremely defensive and un-professional. Common courtesy and customer service seem to be gated by some second world, tribal in-group hiring practices here, which leads to a degradation in quality, service, times, and efficiency.
The late night, young male, manager with tattoos is the exception to the above incompetence. This male has appropriate customer service, language skills and takes responsibility for orders and the delivery of the orders. (I do not know if this is appropriate physical presentation (tattoos), but his ability behind the counter more than compensate by comparison to other management)
In closing, I enjoy Wendy's food, and would love to frequent this restaurant more if they hired more appropriate personnel. Even, or including young Canadians as management, who are the only group without in-group tribal hiring practices and second world customer service and language skills. Half-the-time the Indians running this restaurant seem stoned or on xanax. It simply cannot be a trip for me take 40 minutes at the start of my day to be exposed to this level of incompetence and...

Firstly, I am a long time wendy's enjoyer.
This wendy's has abysmal customer service, specifically from the 2 morning managers. It is very hard to place an order here. As you wait for someone to operate the till and take your order, you are greeted by several dozen flies.
These standards are so low largely due to the culture of the ethnic group that runs this business. The management of this wendy's has predatory hiring practices which prefer in-group tribal thinking. At this location this has resulted in the degredation of services from a first world business, to a second world business.
Furthermore, I have had a 30+ minute bill-time on a breakfast wrap here. This business would be much more profitable if it hired natural born Canadians instead of tribal second world service and standards. Many of these hiring practices are borderline illegal in Canada. And it is simply not right to degrade service, and franchise's reputation in favour of tribal hiring practices. Which have serious implications on the community and prestige of this franchise. There are many young Canadians who could be managing this restaurant in Saskatoon. This does not need to be a...
Read moreLet me start by saying: the teenager who was awake at 6 am for drivers ed was fabulous. She managed to get everyones order, no mistakes, she took care of the drive through, and she managed the crowd well. I gave her a dollar and a mint, and i hope she sees this, she has 5 stars from me.
The manager however needs to schedule more people. They were obviously short staffed, the door was locked when the dining room closed, but customers couldn’t leave. Customers were yelling at a 15/16 year old staff member because a DOOR WAS LOCKED??!? Having a single “extra” staff member couldve stood at the door to let people out as they need, or at least let people trying to enter know the dining room was closed. Its a friday, people are going to be out. There was a baseball team eating! 2 front staff members is not enough for this type of rush. They did fantastic, and truly I admire how well they managed - I personally would have been flustered and frustrated, as well as PETRIFIED when the customer began yelling - but those star staff members will eventually burn out.
TLDR; they are short staffed, patience is a virtue. The staff and the food is well worth it. Refill your drink while you wait, take a chill pill, and maybe dont scream at teenagers. None of this is...
