My husband and I usually celebrate our anniversary each year there along with staying at the hotel; We are there often enough during the year as well so we knew how the food/service is; this last time on Saturday evening was to say the least disappointing. So much so, not quite sure we'll go back. I made a reservation a week prior to our stay to ensure we would have a nice quiet seat since it was a special night. We got there at 7:03 (our reservation was at 7) We were told the table was just finishing up "no problem" was our response we'll sit at the bar and have a few drinks while we waited. (We were staying at the hotel as well) Our bartender was excellent! Can not say enough great things about him. He made drinks my husband looked for that were out of the ordinary and was genuinely interested - Thank you Jack for keeping us entertained! Between our reservation being late and by the time we got any food it was OVER an hour! I asked our waitress about bread once we were seated since I am now starving and she said oh I bring it with the salad; guess what - no bread was ever given. The time between our appetizers and main meal was so long that we really didn't even want it. My pasta meal was under the heat lamps way too long it was dried along the edges; however my husbands steak was cooked perfectly. It was disappointing and the service was...

So my friend Echo recommended me this hotel purely based on the restaurant, and I have to say I was NOT disappointed!
There was a seat available at the bar, and I was sat promptly, and greeted by Victoria, who was very warm and welcoming. I asked if she knew how to make a Negroni my favorite cocktail, and to my delight she DID!
As a former bartender/server since she made such a delicious cocktail I'd ask what was good on the menu, and she recommend that lobster ravioli, so I ordered it!
I like asking servers and bartenders what's good because there's a pretty strong chance they've tried most things on the menu, at least at a good restaurant they do. And yeah, the lobster ravioli was absolutely delicious. Not kidding, it was the best ravioli I've ever had.
Anyways, I'm leaving Sault Ste. Marie in a couple of days for Ottawa, after selling my Mom's house after she passed away in June. And I'll always remember this comfort that Quattro afforded me before I left, in that I got to try some of the best food Sault Ste. Marie had to offer.
Also to note, Veronica is an excellent bartender, she handled the rush of drinks and requests from people around her with no issue. She's a hard worker, and has a good attitude, definitely keep her around!
Thanks for the great experience,...
Read moreWe ended up coming here my fiancé and I for my birthday. It was heavily overcrowded and we had a reservation which just ended up us being crowded into a small corner near the bar. Very noisy as we were in the middle of two other tables and a very full bar. Was not very atmospheric at all. Anyways we order get our food and my chicken was beyond overcooked and chewy, my fiances food which she got lobster risotto barely had any shrimp and you could tell the lobster was from a can the same as you get from Romes. Overall the food wasn’t very satisfactory and I ended up getting full up on the bread. Used to have really great food a few years back. The prices of drinks are astronomical compared to other places these days. Some drinks even as high as 18! For just a 2oz cocktail. And to top it all off we hardly saw our waiter and never once did we get asked how our dinner was or checked in on or asked if we needed more drinks or anything at all. When it came time for the check it took almost 20 extra mins just to leave! I used to rave about how much I loved this place but needless to say we didn’t have a really good time tonight. The place used to be one of my favorite go to restaurants for semi upscale dining. It’s a real shame as we won’t be coming...
