Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie

Aarrgghh. What a bummer I cannot see my family returning to this Dairy Queen. Yesterday was my sons 10th birthday, and he really wanted to go to Dairy Queen. So we continued and walk to the store. The sales associate said to try a $7 meal deal, which included a bacon cheeseburger, french fries, a pop and a Sundae . This sounded like a great deal. Unfortunately IT WASN'T! We ate in the restaurant. All 3 of our bacon cheeseburgers were cold! My son and my husband order onion rings with their meal. the containers were have filled up stuck together full of grease, & not very crispy. Utterly disgusting. my burger had two circles the size of a dime of ketchup and mayo. The associate said there was no pickles on the burger so I asked for pickles but it actually did havevpickles and was loaded with just pickles as well as a few specks of white, rhiney lettuce. Yuck! there was one sliver of white onion. This meal for approximately $35 was disgusting it was absolute worst birthday dinner for my son on his 10th birthday ever! I guess I should have known better and not allowed us to go there but I thought they make the burgers right there in front of us I'm not understanding why the hamburger was ice cold at our table the pop cup was so full of ice that there is barely a quarter cup of pop in it all in all actually I have to wait this one star but I'm taking the star away I'm revoking the star do you do the absolute disgusting food not worth the value of the cost and it's too bad really because for $7 if the food have been repaired properly I would definitely be returning but unfortunately I feel like I've been ripped off and I wouldn't recommend going...

First things first, this Dairy Queen provides disappointment 95% of the time that we walk through the door. Among some of the problems are as follows: understaffed, crew not trained properly, very disorganized, and many of the orders are lackluster or served inaccurately.

However, this recent experience was the icing on the cake, so to speak. To preface, we paid about $16.50 for three small sundaes exactly like in the photo shown. When ordering, we had asked for extra topping - as you can see, we received under the minimum, even though we had paid extra. Such was mentioned to the server, but they were apathetic in response and didn't do anything about it. The soft-serve ice cream itself hardly reached beyond the rim of the cup. One of the customers ended up waiting in line for nearly 10 minutes to ask for an extra side of topping, ice cream melting in the process.

Unfortunately, we could have gone to the store and bought at least 3 large tubs of ice cream for the same price. I would recommend this to anyone looking for ice cream.

Bottom line: lackluster service and product. Very disappointing. Also to note: No apparent manager on duty, majority of the staff were young, contrary to staff during the day. Day staff are the only people who have gotten it...

Went there on a Saturday at about 11:10 am since the website says open at 11. Doors were locked so we thought they were just running late. Other people were also waiting to get in (some actually walked away because it was closed). We waited till 11:25 when they finally opened the doors. Only 2 young girls working. It was my daughters 19th bday so we were getting a cake because we had a $5 off coupon from the app and also had a coupon for a free fry. We asked if we could use it with the same order, or had to order separately and was told that we could multiple coupons on same order. When she went to ring in, it was not allowed so we wasted the coupon because it had to be redeemed within 15 mins. The girls clearly did not want to be there and were kinda snotty. Also the chicken finger baskets we got had the tiniest fingers ever. Only got 2 stars because the hot food actually tasted good including the chicken fingers fries and gravy. We got the 10” round cake and there was barely any chocolate ice cream in it. Stopped ordering custom cakes from them years ago because they always messed them up. Sorry DQ, good food but horrible service...
