Not Starbucks and doesn’t even pretend to be. It's a fake Starbucks inside a grocery store and franchised (no standards and unmonitored) - the workers are Pino's store employees and untrained. Don't expect Starbucks service - they don't make it how you want - they make it when they want. They will embarrass you. This location attracts the downmarket crowd - people who take forever to order and act like it's a once a year treat (which it probably is!) pestering the baristas with requests they can't complete because they they don't know how to make it and they don't have it anyway. After waiting for ten minutes on my way to the airport (first time coming here in five years) and asking if I could order, repeatedly, because they would not take any orders and stood there like statues, then told me I "looked upset" and started laughing at me, then telling the other workers "don't apologise to him, make him wait more or tell him to leave", a grocery store manager approached me, very closely and immediately asked me "do you think you're special", telling me that I will wait as long as they want me to wait, continued to yell at me, then told me to leave. The "customer" ahead of me, who would not order and was instead staring at her phone, not moving and not speaking, who would have worn out the patience of Mother Theresa, put on a big show and threw a fake hysterical fit so that she could claim victim status and get free coffee because I asked her "excuse me are you ordering." Well it worked, she did get her free coffee. Oscar performance! Congratulations to her! She's done this before! Yes that's right! First time in thousands of Starbucks visits at hundreds of locations all over the world where I went to Starbucks and left WITHOUT coffee. Should be shut down immediately. To Starbucks: how are you allowing this shop to use your branding? This is not a serious business and they are destroying your reputation. A shop has to be really bad before I would ever complain but I take this opportunity to alert you to...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience here. Yesterday, I bought four gift cards of different values, but the staff, who was not busy at the time, still made a mistake by putting the same value on all the cards. As a result, I had to drive back to the store to get it corrected before giving the cards to my friends.
The staff today corrected the mistake for me, but she didn’t say "sorry" and kept repeating, "It’s not a big deal." I didn’t intend to blame anyone because we’re all human, and humans make mistakes. Besides, she wasn’t the one who made the error. However, she should have apologized to me—not for herself, but on behalf of Starbucks—because I had to drive a long way to fix the issue, which caused me inconvenience. Saying "sorry" is a basic sign of respect to the customer, but it was clear that the staff thought I didn’t deserve it.
When I walked away, I heard her say to the next customer, "I’m so, so sorry to keep you waiting." That’s when I realized she is capable of saying sorry; she just didn’t want to say it to me. It’s obvious that her behavior wasn’t based on the situation but rather on my skin color. I won’t spend another cent in a store that...
