Pizza Hotline — Restaurant in Selkirk

Their pizza is great and the staff is always nice, BUT It's 2025 and yet somehow this business has the absolute worst possible online ordering experience in existence. I just don't get how they can look at it and say, "this is just fine for our customers".

It functions like someone got their 12 year old nephew who "knows about them computers" to build it for them in 1998 and left it as is because the one person with the webserver password got hit by a bus. Or maybe it was made by someone who's never actually met another human person and has no idea how they work.

Either way, it's garbage. It's almost like they don't want you to order from them.

Once again I am not placing an order because of this. I swear this has to be the 50th time I've noped out of ordering from this place after visiting their trash heap website and then placed an order with a competitor down the street.

I like their pizza. I really do. I'd like to have it more often. No I don't want to call and place an order like it's 1990 and no I don't want to have to watch a billion year old YouTube video explaining how to use the site.

I hope that maybe one day they'll update their website so someone who wants their pizza can actually order it without having to suffer through the pain of attempting to use this site. There are literally dozens of inexpensive out-of-the-box solutions for this. Heck, they can probably get a web developer to build a new site for them for free out of sheer frustration after attempting to use their current site.

Funny thing is, I have an email from their support people from 4 years ago telling me they were updating the online ordering...

I am a regular customer at this location and I always get the same thing. Normally I give this place 5 stars. The owner is typically there when I order my pizzas and she makes them fantastic and consistent. Today however there were two young kids working who clearly did not want to be there - and my experience & pizza was awful. I only get veggies & sauce on my pizza. I asked for all the veggies, and even though there was no meat and no cheese, she still put barely any toppings on (?) I asked for some more and after a blank stare got an extra spattering. I'm forgoing the most expensive toppings on a pizza, you think she could have at least made sure the dough was covered! Then the young man incinerated my pizza. The edges were so black and hard he couldn't even cut through them. As he struggled he proceeded to knock most of the sparse toppings I had onto the counter (!) I was so frustrated I ended up going to Subway after and gave the pizza away to the painting crew at my house. Management needs to make sure they have staff who actually give a damn and know how to maintain the high standards of quality the...

The first time we ordered. Had to phone in the order did that. Went to this location 295 Main St. And they said they never got the order it was very frustrating so we did not get the pizza went somewhere else. So today we tried it again. We waited for more than 10 minutes. waiting for our pizza. We knew were the Pizza was done. because it was sitting on top of the oven. And finally someone came and ask if they can Help us. Finally got our Pizza. the girl did not open the box to check. if it’s our pizza she just went there and grabbed it. and I paid for it.
