I have contemplated this review since my visit Aug 27th.. I feel it is necessary . I went to this restaurant for Taco Tuesday we ordered the taco platter. The decor is very nice, we enjoyed our drinks, and our food arrived. I had beef and shrimp taco which were lovely. I had 2 bites of the Chicken taco on my 3rd bite both me and my date heard a loud crunch for a second I thought my tooth blew apart until I spit out something hard that turned out to be glass. It was a good sized chunk of glass I ultimately crushed biting into it. I immediately spit it out and my date called the waitress over. I wasn’t cut thankfully but quite possibly may have swallowed some glass. The restaurant covered the bill and the manager called the owners about it. They took my name and number and said they would be follow up with me in the next 2 days…I never heard from them. It’s quite a shocking experience biting into a chunk of glass.. shows a disregard for customers not to atleast follow up, that’s my opinion. In response to your responses: I was asked for my phone number and given a piece of paper I wrote my name and number down and was told someone would be in touch over text couple days…I want to make it clear I was served glass in a taco from your restaurant period! No mystery there! Furthermore I immediately went to the bathroom to make sure I was not bleeding and when I returned the food was gone or I would have taken a picture!

The Other Place...more like The Place you want to experience more than once! I met up with some co-workers for lunch, none of whom had been here before, including myself. The restaurant was very clean and tidy, with some pretty neat aesthetics. Our server was prompt and provided some great recommendations. My lime mojito was probably one of the best I've ever had. The one co-worker who recently returned from a trip to Mexico even commented on how their Spicy Rico margarita tasted identical to the ones he had while in Mexico. We all started off with some appetizers, salt & pepper wings, honey garlic jalapeno wings, and some Guinness battered shrimp, all of which were very tasty. My entree was the Alambre tacos which was so delicious, aromatic and flavourful. The crisp cheese that was underneath all the taco toppings was a very nice touch. And the Spanish rice was so flavourful, I wish they had included more of it with the meal. The other entrees that were ordered by my co-workers were the Al Pastor tacos and the Barbacoa tacos, and they raved about them as well. We ordered a couple of desserts as well, the Churros and a couple of brownies. Now I must say I've eaten a number of brownies in my day, but this one is definitely the best one I've ever had, and I wasn't the only one that said this either. I'll definitely be returning to The Other Place with my family and highly recommend that you try it out for yourself.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Other Place, a spot that had been on my list for what felt like ages. I’m so glad I finally made it! Starting with the Hugo Burger, I was absolutely amazed by the flavor combination. The blend of chorizo and beef patty was fantastic, and the toppings of mayo, jalapeños, and Monterey Jack crisps took it to another level. It’s a must-try for any burger lover! For something lighter, the Pollo Pizza was a great choice. Featuring a house special tomato sauce, it was topped with tender chicken breast, roasted red pepper, and fresh cilantro—a perfect combination that really shines. The Pollo Adobado Tacos were another highlight. The grilled chicken marinated in guajillo sauce was both flavorful and succulent, enhanced by the classic toppings of onion, cilantro, and lime. Each bite was satisfying and delicious. And of course, no meal would be complete without dessert! The Churros*were simply delightful. Not overly sweet, they were served with a decadent chocolate whipped cream that made for the perfect finish to my meal. I highly recommend making a reservation before heading out, as it can be quite busy and securing a spot for walk-ins might get difficult. Overall, The Other Place exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to returning soon to explore more of their menu!

on July 5,2025 @ 17:35 So I made a reservation VIA OpenTable and arrived a little late, but I was still within the designated timeframe for the reservation . When we got there, they weren’t even ready for us so We had to wait. I requested to sit outside since it was a wonderful day, but when we got out there, we found that the tables were poorly constructed and looked like an unqualified carpenter tryed doing this. To make matters worse, the smoking area was only about 10 feet away from the outdoor dining area, which meant we had to deal with smoke drifting into our space and the loud people and that did not care about others around them.

The service was extremely slow this time around. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks and another 30 mins for appetizers, and another 45 minutes to receive our main courses. When mine finally arrived, it was 1.5 hrs and it was cold. I waited an additional 25 minutes for the server to come by as the other ones were not acknowledging our existence when my husband called for them. When I informed her that my food was cold, she apologized and took it away. She promised to bring me a new one, but that took another 45 minutes. At that point, I told her just to put it in a doggy bag because I didn’t want to wait any longer. After another 20 minutes, I still had no doggy bag and no bill, so I continued waiting.

Another staff member came by and asked if everything was okay, and I explained the situation with my cold meal and the wait. she said she will take that off the bill, Additionally, my husband ordered a dessert, which took 35 minutes to arrive he ate it and I still did not have my now once again cold dinner and no bill. We have been to this restaurant many times, but this was the worst experience we've ever had.

On top of everything, the menus were extremely dirty and clearly hadn’t been washed regularly. They had water stains and other marks all over them you can see the filth thanks to my husband for hanlding them as will refused to touch them. The patio area was also unclean, with french fries scattered on the ground and dirt and dust balls in the corners of their makeshift enclosure. I will not be returning...

Little late in giving my review. My husband booked a reservation for my birthday, so we could have dinner with friends. When he booked the reservation, he was told we only 2 hours and we had to be out, and we were booked at 4:30pm, (so essentially saying we had to be done, and out by 6:30pm when the reservation was booked). When we got there (I’m a huge margs and tacos woman, tequila is my jam!), the waitress was told it was my birthday and that’s why we made our reservation, we were very excited to try everything. At 4:30pm, there was little to no people there, and yet the service was SLOOOOW! There was only one bartender when we arrived. Not a great start to our evening. Our first drinks took about 20 minutes to come, our appetizer came out way before the drinks even though they were ordered at the same time. Food speed was actually decent. The bartending was slow. After our first drinks were finished, after about 10 minutes of waiting for the server to come, we had to flag her down to order another round, and those again took about 20 minutes to come. When it came to the third round of drinks, same issue. At this point the restaurant was full, and there were 3 bartenders, and what appeared to be one person helping the bartenders with whatever they needed. By the time 6:30pm came around, our drinks had been emptied for about 15 minutes, and the waitress came and asked if there was anything else she could get us, drinks, dessert, etc… (they stipulated a 2 hours MAX when my husband made the reservation, and they didn’t even follow it!). However, at that time we were actually quite annoyed at the service, (food is very good!), we didn’t want to stay longer. My friends and husband were actually shocked also, that they don’t do anything, like a dessert or a drink, for a celebration like a birthday. Honestly, was very disappointed. The food was so good, I’d have added this place to my rotation of favourite places for tacos and margaritas , but the service is why we won’t go back. I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you’d...
