We had one experience here and one "almost" experience. We decided to walk in on a Tuesday evening around quarter to 5:00. We were surprised at how it was so small, like a subway restaurant, with menu boards on a wall like a bistro and only a few tables—which all turned out to be reserved. There was no place set aside for any walk-ins at all. So after a quick glance at their board menus, we left. The next actual experience was when ordering online for delivery. (It wasn't until later that we connected that this place was the same as the one we had recently visited). Considering the rating, we thought we would give this place a try. The mushroom ravioli was very tasty. The chicken marsala was flavorful , but a bit rich for our liking. We chose mashed potatoes as a side, and thought it could have been more plentiful as only maybe a quarter to a third of a cup of potatoes barely filled the container. The salad we ordered had a lot of brown lettuce pieces, but otherwise contained a lot of fresh vegetables like peppers, onions and tomatoes. We also ordered an Italian wedding soup and were shocked by what was in the container, or what wasn't. We thought they had made a mistake and gave us some leftover bits of food. It was really just some chicken broth with a bunch of white gelatinous chicken bits, a piece of sausage and one piece of tortellini. We did not even try it. The chicken barely seemed cooked. It seemed like it was skimmed off at the bottom of a pan. My husband said it look like it was scooped out from a garburator /sink drain. Sad but true. So we did not try that. And it was $10!!! We received a refund from the food delivery service. They did send some complimentary focaccia bread. It was okay but very dry and hard. Something we ate was extraordinarily rich that was irritating for the rest of the evening. Quite honestly, both experiences combined, we would not return— especially considering the high prices and potentially lacking...
Read moreI went here over lunch hour with my mother and husband. Service was great. Meal was subpar. Chicken parm tasted like costcos frozen breaded chicken. I asked our server if they previously owned "life" Italian restaurant as I found the meal very similar and I see Life closed right before they opened. She got very defensive which I found strange, and sent her husband (the chef) over to talk to us. It was a strange experience. The lunch time price is right, the portion sizes were generous, but all 3 of us agreed that it was very low quality food that was just presented well. We will not return. But also did not feel we got ripped off as the value was decent. EDIT to owners reply: this is the correct restaurant. We visited for lunch a few weeks ago. My review was based on the food we received. FURTHER EDIT: this is absolutely not a fake review. There is no need for a refund. You provided a service. I am giving feedback on the food you served. We found the quality to be low. The bread and salad was a nice start but the main course was below average in all of our opinions. I asked the female service if you both previously owned "life" Italian as not only was the food similar, she looked exactly like the server there. You then came over and chatted with us. This is a review of the food. I gave stars for the service as it was great but overall we were very disappointed with the quality of our meal and wont be returning for that reason. Lastly, thank you for redacting your statement calling this review fake. While you may now view it as unfair, it is a review of the...
Read moreReady for foodgasms?! Then you all need to head out to the authentic Italian casual dining restaurant and family owned business, Fabbrica Del Gusto! 🇮🇹 The wonderful chef & owner, Ubi, grew up in Italy and trained as a professional chef in this cuisine. My family and I have been to Italy and let me tell you Ubi is the REAL DEAL!
I am not a huge pasta person, and I had a whole plate of of seafood fettuccine and today- I am NOT bloated! I am gluten sensitive and chose to eat the regular pasta- no bloatedness today!!!
Their appetizer made in house bread with olive oil & balsamic dip was PERFECTION- perfect amt of crispy and softness, and their ceasar salad was delicous with the right amount of garlic (I loOooove garlic!!)
Oh and I had their cheesecake with nuts dessert too!
No bloating! No food hang over (and if you know me, I eat very clean and usually get sugar and gluten hangovers if I indulge). Ubi uses products straight from Italy.
The no bloating is definitely a sign of authentic Italian cuisine! (In Italy, their ingredients don't have all the crap North America puts in their food, which is why you don't get bloated eating their bread and cheese).
However, ncase you are allergic or sensitive to gluten, they have GF options too!! Great service too! 5 out of 5 stars from me, my hubby...
