Today I preordered and got a cake for my friend's going away party and was shocked to see how it turned out. I immediately expressed my concerns saying I was not expecting the writing to look so illegible to which the lovely lady I spoke to offered me 10% off and a free cookie (unfortunately the cookie was hard and dry too). I came home and was too embarrassed to bring this to my friends house so I came back and they were very understanding to just exchange the cake with a plain one. They explained that their cake decorators have different styles and it can be hard to write? However, this isn't about style but about upholding a standard for cake decorating. I've had better writing from Dairy Queen or Superstore. I know that confetti sweets has cake decorators who can write decently on cakes from my previous experienced, my question is where is the consistency? How can a bake shop that is known for making cookies for the Oscars serve cakes that look like this to loyal costumers? Below are the pictures comparing 2 cakes both from confetti sweets.. Again thanks for the ladies who helped me out but please take this review as an opportunity to review your workers skill levels and train them to deliver consistency.
Side note: upon pre-ordering I told them I trusted them to choose a nice color scheme for the cakes and iāll let the pictures speak...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreConfetti sweets has always been my favourite bakery, we come here for pretty much every occasion for our family. However, today I had a terrible customer service experience. My sister, who I havenāt seen in months happened to FaceTime me when I walked into the store. I greeted the person at the front as I was talking on the phone, and when I was ready to order the cupcakes, I put my phone down on the counter to be polite. The person working behind the counter did not acknowledge me once, or say anything to me. After I pay for my order, I said, thank you have a great day, and she completely ignored me. I told her that she was not being very friendly, and she said. ā yeah well you are on your phone.ā I explained to her the situation and told her that she was being very rude. She gave me the worst attitude and treated me very poorly. I understand people donāt appreciate when customers are on their phone, however, I made the effort to put my phone down and she was still extremely rude. I am thoroughly disappointed with her customer service, and will not be going back. She was talking poorly to me as I continue to walk out the store with other customers in there. Very unprofessional, very disrespectful...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe is a sweet stop, literally! As soon as you open the door the sweet aroma makes your start to salivate and the sugar rush is on! I love the variety of fun other items they carry- definitely vibes of a Makers space with pickled goods, hilarious sponges, take and bake cookie and cake kits, jewelry, and more. A great idea if youāre looking to put together a gift and want a one stop shop. We had a hard time deciding between their cookies vs their cupcakes but in the end settled for a 1/2 dozen cupcakes ($24) otherwise it would have been $4.50 per cupcake. Cookies were priced at $2.50 per cookie. I loved the flavours of the cupcakes and am always drawn to the carrot cupcakes with cream cheese icing. But we also tried the Oreo/cookies and cream cupcake, the coconut cupcake with coconut buttercream with cookies and cream cheese icing, the chocolate cupcake with chocolate buttercream, and the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing. Very moist and rich cupcakes. In the past Iāve bought the cookies that were pre baked in the freezer section and these were actually also very tasty and a great idea so to with your extra cookies. And Iāve tried the kits as well and always enjoyed...
