Dined in on 24 June @ 8:25ish. I can’t say enough about the young gentleman who took our order and served us. Very polite and careful in everything he did for the guests. The same with a young lady that came to take our order from the Swiss Chalet side, thinking we had not been looked after.
Although he was the only person taking orders on the Harveys side and dressing the burgers, the three others in the back were just cooking and waiting and not jumping in to help him out. This allowed fries to go cold after sitting for over 12+ minutes. I asked for them to refire new fries while we waited for him to finish dressing burgers and they were more than happy to do so and apologized for the wait. He was very meticulous and careful in handling and loading the bags. This also slowed things down but that’s OK. Serving the Skip orders also slowed him down. A one man show. He didn’t panic or get flustered. Just was so polite.
Area needing some work, heavy dust on ledges in the dining room but very clean overall. The girls from the drive-thru pitching in to help the cooking staff were deboning whole chickens without hair nets while waiting to serve at the window. It was also observed that a cook from the Swiss Chalet side picked up spilled fries on the counter with his hands and threw them onto a dinner plate he had just prepared. All looking to help each other.
Very polite staff. They all said thank you, have a good night. Overall a very clean restaurant with...
Read moreAbsolutely my favourite burger from a fast food chain restaurant. Burger is cooked over an open flame, which makes a huge difference. DQ is the only other fast food chain that cooks burgers this way. But Harvey's allows you to dress up the burger (this goes for their chicken burgers as well) with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, black olives, two kinds of hot peppers, and pickles in any combination. In addition to the standard ketchup, mustard, relish, and mayonnaise they also have barbecue sauce and two or three other sauces you can use to dress up your burger. While slightly more expensive than a McDonald's quarter pounder with cheese (my burger also had cheese) there is no comparison between the two. I loaded my Harvey's Harvey's burger with all the goodies and a little bit of barbecue sauce. It was excellent, the best fast food chain burger by far and reasonably priced. At McDonald's you have to buy an Angus burger to even get close, and those are far more expensive than this burger was. Also would like to note that this specific Harvey's was very clean with friendly, helpful, and efficient staff. Also seniors' coffee is $.99 plus GST. The seniors' cup is the same size as the McDonald's medium and the coffee is good as in not bitter. I definitely recommend this place. An added bonus is this Harvey's is attached to a Swiss Chalet if that...
Read moreWe ordered from this location through the App when it showed this location closed at 9:45pm. (we ordered at 9:15pm) for pickup. After ordering, we headed (25 minutes away from us) to pick up the order. When arriving to the restaurant we were surprised it was closed when we arrived.
After driving back home, we emailed customer service and requested our money to be refunded. Customer Service's response was to issue a gift card, rather than refund our money.
We drove 25 minutes both way's almost an hour of our time based on the app stating the restaurant was still open, if it was our mistake and we requested refund, I can understand the gift card, however our actions were entirely based on the app stating this location was open until 9:45pm.
I understand mistakes happen, but customer service shrugged it off as an "oh well" experience. It was not free for us to drive there...
