Went in twice..once to just pick up a few pasteries..gotta say the selection is very limited and the Danish I bought were not in my opinion up to par..found them not flaky at all. The other almond pastry was better but still a little dry. The 2nd stop in was for a coffee and actual sit down. A little confused as to the actual point of two different tills. The coffee was very tasty and the Banana loaf i choose wwas in fact really nice and consistency was good. My companions choice according to him it was OK ( forgot what he had). Server was nice..came around and I offered a warm up..we declined. Idid have a longer look at the pastry choices again and although more selection I have to say that it doesn't seem like it's up to a level of what a really unique pastry shop should offer...been in many both in Canada and overseas. The atmosphere of the shop is bright but is kinda chopped up and not enough seating. I understand that Covid has nern a concern..but to advertise as a pastry / bakery i just don't see it being up to par..might need to review the choices and seating to add that flair of a unique...
Read moreC'est Tout has filled a niche in Smiths Falls ever since they opened. Whether you're in need of lunch, or looking to enjoy a coffee and a book, the atmosphere is casual and comfortable and online ordering is fast and convenient (unless the internet is having a day).
With the (recent?) move, they have expanded their production, space, and improved their logo and packaging. Liz will give you the best customer service experience, among her many skills, and Ginny's limitless talent is prominent in everything she does.
Today I had the mocha, which was not overly sweet, and provided a rich, chocolate taste. The pesto sandwich was like bitjng into sunshine. Thinly sliced chicken, a bold pesto flavour balanced by mayo and parmesan (also brie, if you like it!), and a satisfying crunch from the toasted bread lead to a soft interior and a satisfied tummy. Their homemade cookies are also top notch.
Thanks Amy and crew. I would easily recommened this spot for everyone who passes through, even just to check out the beautiful decor and natural light. Who knows, it might coax you to stick around in a...
Read moreExcellent cafe/bakery in an area where there's not much of that about. Stylist but cosy inside with some excellent music as well. There's a reasonable amount of seating though it's popular so I expect on a weekend it's not always possible to get a seat without waiting or reserving a seat if they allow that. I have to say service was top draw from our server - so friendly and also efficient.
Coffee was large and very good and decent value especially when I compare it to some of the places I normally go in Almonte or nearer Ottawa. Only complaint which isn't really a true complaint is because of the size of the latte I couldn't really taste the hazelnut syrup in it. We had a date slice and ginger molasses cookie both of which were excellent - I mean really excellent.
Other more meal like items looked great too so would hope to return soon to try them. Plenty of street parking around the area - it's right along the main street of the town opposite RBC.
Recently went back after a few months to have breakfast and the food did not disappoint - highly...
