Went to Harvey's just before noon, sat in the drivethru at the speaker for almost 5 minutes before I was acknowledged. Ordered my Buffalo Chicken Poutine, waited almost 10 minutes (two cars ahead of me), then finally got my food.
I went home and realized that there was no gravy on my poutine, so I returned to the restaurant to have it remade. When I pointed out to the two staff members standing around at the front that there was no gravy, they took it and went to pump gravy on it. When I asked to have it remade as it had been almost 20 minutes and was cold, one of the employees held the bottom and said "it's not cold, this is still warm.". I've worked in restaurants and the service industry for my entire life, I've never seen a response like that. When I asked to speak to the manager for a refund, they yelled from the front to the back for Jen. Then caught her on her way to the front and told her I wanted a refund. She didn't even say a word except to ask what I ordered, then handed me cash, even though I had paid with card. When questioned on why it couldn't be refunded to my card, I was told that's not possible.
The entire visit from top to bottom was horrible. This will be my last visit to this Harvey's, and I'll be suggesting the same to family and friends. I've had numerous issues at this restaurant, between waiting for people to finish smoke breaks to order food, to them forgetting items, etc. I understand that things happen, we're only human, but its a common occurrence at...
Read moreDo not go to this location. Placed an online order, went into the store to pick up my order. I informed the staff member when I got to the store and was told my order has not yet been made. So I stood back and waited. There costumers ordered, paid and received their food before me. I asked the staff member behind the counter twice about my food but was told again it was not made yet. At this point I was getting frustrated and asked a third time. The staff member grabbed a bag from under the heading lamp than proceeded to hand it to me, after 20 min of standing there and a total of 38 minutes from when the order was placed. I have requested a refund and placed a complaint with Harvey’s guest experience. But now the stores response is there was some payment issue instore that cause the staffed to be delayed. My order was placed and paid for online, not to mention 3 people in store ordered and paid while I was standing there.

Read moreSo apparently a new owner. I haven't been in there in awhile. Floors & counter tops were sticky with pop syrup. No wonder, there was too much syrup in the pop. I told the owner " Gary" and he said " oh, I wouldn't know I don't drink it!" Glad to see you care about quality. Onion rings were disgusting, greasy breading & WET inside. What's sad is because there was a dispute about him charging me twice...said my tap didnt go through...but I heard it & he offer no proof that it didn't, anyways, the onion rings, they made me a fresh batch...🤷 and were still gross. The Angus burger at least seems fine except for the bun. Thought they used to have a kaiser bun...this is a soft bun like McDonald's so its kind of mushy once you put all those toppings on your burger. The girl who served me was nice but...other than that very disappointed. I have loved Harvey's & been eating there pretty much since they open in the late 60s, since I grew up in TO. Sad to say...wont be wasting my money in THAT Harveys. Even with a coupon it came to 10$. Way too much to pay for...
