I was very very disappointed yesterday at lunch. We placed our order at 12:11 pm. We had purchased tickets for Thomas Train Festival at 2 pm and wanted to have a quick lunch before going to Railway Museum of BC for the festival. We had waited patiently for our order. At 12:45 pm, we asked the staff when we would have our order as we waited over 30 minutes and she said a few more minutes. Then after a few more minutes, I saw that the orders behind us were filled out already and saw that our order was taped to the counter without anybody attending it. I was a bit agitated and asked the staff again as we waited over 45 minutes for an order at a supposed fast food restaurant. The one we spoke to earlier replied to me that they were short staffed. I immediately told her that our order was left on the counter while others behind us were looked after. One of the staff heard me and immediately went to do our order and said sorry. Finally I got cold hotcakes and burgers at 1 pm. My grandkids ( age 4 and 6) had to hurry up to eat their burgers in 20 minutes before we made our way to the festival. I think the management should have foresee the increase in business with the Thomas Train Festival in Squamish for children who love McDonalds.

Very busy drive thru causing backed up service in restaurant. Food quality is not as good as other McDonald's in Vancouver area but average for a McDonald's. See photos for very messy burger and poutine. The $2 special coconut pineapple smoothie wasn't full but they do use real pineapple and tasted pretty good. The low star rating is due to covid measures. They are simply too busy to bother. Tables are not cleaned after use but are distance by closing half tables. High touch surfaces like the kiosk are not cleaned after each use, not manned nor have hand sanitizer for patrons to use. The soda dispensers are still open and I witnessed a teen asking for a water cup and started to eat fries and drink pop with several refills right at the soda fountain. Obviously taken off mask and didn't sanitize hands with provided hand sanitizer. Either they should close the dispenser station or have someone manning it. Don't get me started on the washrooms. Most of the public toilets in the squamish area are way cleaner.

The manager Roymel B is extremely rude. I requested for water in clear cup instead of paper cup. They refused to give it and said they are out of cups of any size. After that I ordered ice coffee and they served in clear cup then I asked but you were out of it. He is like I can’t give you clear cup. I been working in McDonald for 6 years but never heard that rule. I want to order more from there, but just because of that I didn’t. If that will be persistent, they will customers. Seriously, I would request the restaurant manager to teach some customer service, because McDonald is known for it. If a shift leader performs that behaviour, what they gonna teach to their crew.

Deeply disappointed with how I was treated tonight.

I always ask for the same meal every time I order...

10pack, large fries, diet coke.

They punched in a medium and I drove away noticed I didn't have a large, so I came back to have it corrected. They basically told me "it says medium and you paid for medium so..🤷‍♀️". I told them I didn't want a medium, I wanted a large like I asked and was willing to pay more for it. They ended up passing me a small fry for free, sure that works, thanks!

But driving away I noticed I didn't have a drink either, being previously flustered by the fry situation.. the manager basically told me that I was a liar, that the cashier gave me one and to check my cup holders and receipt. I said I clearly don't see one here and they're welcome to inspect my car and cameras to prove it. While giving me lots of attitude and trying to put the blame on me, all over a drink that probably costs McDonald's 10c to make....

They made me wait on the phone for 5 min while they "checked the cameras". Then said they didn't have access to it, and someone will be out with my drink...

The manager didn't even step up to deliver the drink himself and made the poor cashier do it who was very apologetic...

Man, this is my decompress "I made it to the end of the week!" spot, but now unsure if I'll be given the correct order, and if I'm not then it'll be a fight to fix it with them.

I don't think I've ever been treated this poorly by customer service staff, or over something sooooo extremely cheap.

Please spread love and kindness if you're seeing this... Just turned my hard day into an even...

I give this place a 2/5 rating for a few different reasons. It would be a 0 if the morning / afternoon wasn’t different then the night crew. The morning service is pretty decent. They have this awesome kind woman who says have a tiggity boo day and is always smiling and positive. I find her energy to be uplifting and I think that is what top quality customer service should feel like. The food quality In the morning / afternoon is also a lot better. Now the nighttime service is a whole different story. Especially after 11pm... the quality of the food goes right down, tends to be at least a few things that are either cold or poorly made and the absolute worst thing about most of my nighttime experiences at this McDonald’s is the terrible customer service. The lady’s on the mic while taking my order are usually very bland and emotionless which carry’s on once I get to the window. They never ask how your night is going or show any sort of manners. I consider myself a very friendly, outgoing person so to arrive at the window after sitting there for sometimes 5 minutes before I am even acknowled, have someone just hand me my food, take my money and say very little with a negative scowl on their face the whole time is very disappointing and unnecessary I get that some of these people are working fast food and probably aren’t to excited about it but atleast ask me how my nights going, say thank you and at the very least say have a goodnight while I’m leaving. Some of those people need to be held at a higher standard and be taught some basic customer service. A smile once and a while wouldn’t kill...

When I'm here my mind says "order a salad" but my stomach plots with my mouth and out comes "I'd like a 20 pc chicken McNugget, poutine fries with extra gravy and cheese, and a coke!" Well, at least I thought about that salad!

This is the best McDonald's I've ever been to. They have a mini bakery with healthy bran muffins, kiddo game consoles in booths so parents can eat in peace, and a ton of touch screen self service kiosks so you get your grub fast. AND in Canada fries are the poutine kind or if not Parmesan! Why aren't we doing this in the US? They also just came out with a line of bagels and bagel BLTs! The awesome factor here keeps on getting better!

Anyhow if you're traveling up from Vancouver to Whistler this McDonald's in Squamish is a great half way mark to stop and feed the hangry kids or spouse and perk up those low blood sugar levels. I'm amazed that they still do those balloons on sticks for kids and coloring books with crayons like how they used to do that in the US when I was 5. Maybe the one by my family house in my hometown is just lazy now.

This McDonald's seems to have ponied up the cash to do a really nice renovation with a cool fire place, trendy lounge seating and if you're super lazy, they're doing order from your phone and have it delivered to your table. When did these locations start doing that?

Five star review for a fast food place? Yep! Full service restaurants cant get it right like...
