Capital Pizza and Steak House My visit to Capital Pizza and Steak House was a mixed experience, starting on an off-putting note and ending with average impressions overall. The experience began awkwardly when the server led us to a section she herself referred to as "Siberia." This term felt unprofessional and set a negative tone for the evening. The section felt isolated and didn't contribute to a welcoming dining atmosphere. As for the food, it had its highs and lows: The Mozzarella Sticks were passable but didn’t stand out. The Bruschetta was a disappointment. The bread was soggy and lacked the crunch you’d expect from a properly toasted base. The Chicken and Ribs were decent but far from memorable. On a brighter note, the pizzas were enjoyable, especially the Hawaiian Pizza and the Cheese Pizza, which were well-prepared with good flavors. The Veg Quesadilla (no mushroom) was underwhelming. The accompanying salad lacked dressing, leaving it dry and uninspired. For the prices charged, the overall meal didn’t justify the cost. While the pizzas were good, the rest of the dishes didn’t meet expectations, especially given the premium pricing. In summary, while Capital Pizza and Steak House has potential, inconsistencies in food quality and an unprofessional approach to customer service make it hard to recommend. A more thoughtful approach to both hospitality and food preparation would go a long way in justifying the cost and improving the overall experience.

Restaurant is dated and tired looking. It smelled good when we came in and were hopeful that the food was good as it seemed pretty busy. We were sadly very disappointed with the food and service however . Our entire family was left turned off by restaurant food for the remainder of our family vacation as a result of eating this dense disgusting food that sat like bricks in our digestive systems for days. I would give negative stars if I could. Can’t believe we paid 12$ for a fried hotdog, over cheesy cheese pizza with raw looking dough, and that all of our meals came to over $80. I can’t believe how expensive our meal was for subpar food. I don’t think I would eat from here again if you paid me. Service wasn’t great either; waitress took a plate before meal was done without asking and did not ask if we wanted refills on drinks or coffee. Would never recommend this place to anyone, and usually would keep my food opinions to myself, but hope my review can save someone from gut ache. Don’t go here unless you want to have gastrointestinal issues for days and receive terrible service in a building that seems forever stuck in the 90’s.

A friend recommended this restaurant to me Was that a mistake? I ordered for delivery Had to call in to confirm my order. I asked how long it would take was told 40 to 45 minutes 60 minutes went by called back talk to another gentleman. Oh you’re order Should be there in 5-10 minutes ok 25 minutes later, I’m about to call and cancel my pizza and the doorbell rings Don’t tell people a time that you can’t promise The pizza is just mediocre. It’s very salty it has a lot of toppings We ordered the pineapple It was a lot of cheese on it If you were a cheese lover, it’s great but the problem with so much topping in thick cheese is the dough doesn’t get cooked enough we still had uncooked dough definitely will not be ordering from you guys again my chicken pizza turned out OK Update I also run a restaurant I know sometimes things get busy but lying to the customer about time just makes them more mad if you can tell me that it was gonna be around 1:30 Then I could make the choice of ordering from someone else, right And just because you’re busy doesn’t mean that you can give me raw pizza dough

11 of us came here for a friends Birthday celebration. Prices were okay, a bit on the high end of things but not crazy. We had tickets to a show at 7:00, so we made reservations for 5:30 thinking 1.5 hours should be plenty of time to grab a bite before the show. Some of us even arrived a few minutes early.

Here is a list of things that went wrong, in order of appearance: It took almost an hour to get our appetizers. They completely forgot to make one of our group member's appetizers, and brought it out after everyone else had already finished theirs. By that point they didn't even really want it, but took it to be polite. We asked the waiter to put a rush on our meals, bring them out as soon as they were done, and prepare our separate bills because we only had half an hour to chow down and pay before the show started. Meals finally arrived with about 10 minutes to spare, but they just plain forgot to make three people's order (two pizza's) and one drink order. Manager offered to "make something quick like a grilled cheese or something" for those of us who didn't get to eat, but we had only 5 minutes to pay the bill and run, so we declined and some of our friends shared their meals with us. One gal ordered the veal parmigiana and the veal was so tough she couldn't cut through it. Got our bills; one couple who did receive their meals did not get charged for anything (including drinks) and those of us who didn't get our meals were charged for all drinks and appetizers plus another couple's appetizer (we settled up ourselves later to save time)

Needless to say, we didn't bother leaving a tip. I can't imagine any of us willingly going back there. The food was good, but the service was the pits. Even the manager seemed pretty apathetic to the whole situation. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, you can get better bang for your buck almost...

I have never had a good experience to write anything good about Capital Pizza! Today Aug 13 at 7:50pm I got to the place and there were 2-3 people paying for their meals. I waited patiently for my turn to let the person at the counter know I wanted a table. 10-15 min later I get to the front of the line and I let the manager know that I wanted to eat. And he told me the kitchen was closed!

Closed! I waited for 10-15 min for you to tell me that the kitchen was closed! He could have taken 3 seconds to say “If you’re waiting for a table the kitchen is closed.” And to add insult to injury I walk outside and the hours of operation were until 9:00pm! I went back in and asked why the kitchen is closed if your sign outside says your open until 9:00. He mumbled something to me that sounded like he had a mouth full of marbles and said again that the kitchen was closed! He didn’t say I’m sorry the kitchen was closed, he looked like he didn’t care about his potential customer, he was very coy and impersonal about it as if to say “I don’t care about you just leave the kitchen is closed”

At this point I don’t care they have lost me as a potential customer and I will be letting everyone I know how they treat customers. I have read some of the reviews already and they are really bad!

Do yourself a favour! don’t even bother going there, you can get better service at MacDonald’s or even the guy that sells hotdogs outside of Canadian Tire !

They call themselves a restaurant? I have gotten better service out of two 10 year olds selling lemonade for 25 cents a glass!
