I’m writing as a customer who recently visited your establishment and witnessed an incident that I believe deserves your serious attention.
While I was dining, an Uber Eats driver — a person of color — arrived and waited patiently inside the restaurant for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. During this entire time, none of the staff members approached him to ask for his order number, name, or offer any assistance, despite being visibly there for a pickup. What stood out to me was that other individuals, including myself, were acknowledged and served promptly, most of whom were white — which made the disparity in treatment even more concerning.
Eventually, the driver left quietly, without confrontation, but the look on his face as he walked out — disheartened and defeated — was genuinely upsetting to witness. It felt as though he wasn’t just ignored, but intentionally dismissed. As a bystander, I couldn’t help but feel that this may have been racially motivated, whether consciously or not.
This kind of experience, especially in a diverse and inclusive country like Canada, is deeply disappointing. I hope this message encourages reflection and leads to better staff training and awareness on how every individual — customer, delivery driver, or otherwise — should be treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for looking...
Read moreI came here around June 19th-20th with my grandmother just passing the previous day. Even if I wasnt doing well, I still made my order in a polite manner. I don't know if I took too long to order, or if the cashier expected the worst from me because I'm indigenous but he was rushing me, and had annoyed look on his face. While the next customer he was cheerful, and smiling. When I got my drink I forgot to order cream, and the lady gave me a death stare just for asking her. After waiting for my food for about 15 minutes I started crying because this is already the worst few days of my life, and only then the cashier remembered my food order and began working on it. I work in customer service myself, so I understand when times are busy and you're trying to get business moving smoothly so the wait didn't bother me. But I've never treated people harshly in the way I was treated here, just because its busy, especially if a customer is being polite. Never recommend here, they made a hard...
Read moreI absolutely love this location, I have been coming here for over five years, however, the service that I have been receiving recently has not been up to par. The barista, whenever I walk into the place of establishment, do not greet me upon entry, they do not share a collective Starbucks, joy and cheer, I understand that there may be circumstances involved with compounding stresses in life, however, when I come in and pay money for a cuppa coffee, I deserve to be treated like my best. This is imperative for long-term success and outcome of the district in which the Starbucks is established, because it is such a high income. You need to have high customer satisfaction source to keep the customers coming back, otherwise I hear Aaron Ridge has...
