What an underwhelming and disappointing experience. We ordered the Prix Fix menu, which in hindsight was a big mistake. The texture of the lentil soup was grainy and unappealing. The kale salad was not great and the fish was OK. The best thing we ate was the spetzle dish, which was a pork chop...but the spetzle and the sauce were the best things on the plate. We didn't even want the desserts, but we were paying for them (so we took them). Also underwhelming. The server was prentencious and had a bad vibe....not at all like the fun, nice guy we had previously. It's a nice room, but it was empty. The chef looked very skilled and walked past us several times. You'd think he could say "hello" given that we were the only ones there, but it seemed he followed the vibe of the server. The bill was over $250 and we only had 1 drink each. Totally not worth it.

What a fantastic restaurant to visit in the St Catherine’s area. We had the best meal there. Started with the dumplings (mushroom) and the breaded Flor Di Latte. Both were excellent but the pickles that came with the dumplings were just out of this world. I had the roasted lamb and my wife the duck. The lamb was perfectly cooked with a sumptuous herb coating. The duck was perfectly done with a sublime sauce. The cardamom mash that came with lamb was a delight unto itself. I could have happily had a bowl of that on its own. Finished with a Pear and pistachio cake that just ended the meal well. We were so impressed with the restaurant, the food and the wonderfully attentive service by Tyreese. I highly recommend you try this restaurant.

First time visiting and I was pleased with the experience. Service was very professional, polite and fast, very attentive without hovering. My fellow diner had been there before and she recommended we share a particular item and then we each had an entree. Presentation was beautiful, dishware and silverware classy and clean. Always love a fabric napkin!! Interior is very clean and modern, lovely decor. Prices were good, considering the quality and presentation. Thank you for the positive experience. My only suggestion would be to keep the music lighter and a bit quieter, some tracks were heavy and loud, didn't suit the environment nor the experience. Congratulations on a beautiful and classy spot!

I didn't know quite what to expect from this restaurant. I knew that the chef touts that pastas, sausages, and even cured meats are made in-house. And that is an incredibly impressive thing to boast if it's done correctly and I was expecting it to be an expensive meal but lackluster.

I was pleasantly and decidedly wrong.

This restaurant serves some of the best produce and wines that Niagara and Canada as a whole can offer. Canada-centric in the proteins - pork, beef, and local pickerel smatter the menu with an impressive array of worldwide influences - from Asian to Italian.

The sole focus being on fresh Canadian ingredients served with care. Taking the server's lead for their favourite dishes, I was delighted with the tempura style perch - light and flakey, against the perfectly seared duck breast for a main. Pink and juicy without any hint of gaminess. Ending the meal with an apple crumble with enough tartness to make sure your palate isn't blown out, I will say that this meal can rival anything in Toronto, and the prices weren't bad at all.

Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a fantastically curated meal, and ask your server to...

We were a large group of people and booked this place for a post wedding brunch. They had their entire staff "being trained" and on their first day. They should've told us that they are unable to accommodate a large crowd like this. Simple as that just like other places who said they were unable to accommodate due to being short staffed. Had to wait over an hour just for a coffee. Extremely disorganized. The guests were literally taking everyone's orders and handing the list to the servers and they still managed to make mistakes, make everyone wait over 2 hours and just be like "sorry this is my first say". Even when it came to paying, the staff had no idea how to work their system and had to wait long times just to give them money. Please just be honest and truthful and say that you are unable to accommodate. Food was cold and inedible and service was absolutely horrendous. The worst part of all, owner also asked for negative reviews to be deleted and started posting fake positive reviews on the same day. Also, held on to the deposit and was extremely unprofessional and rude about everything. do not come come here. Do not trust this...

While standing on St. Paul St. in St. Catherines looking for a good restaurant to dine in on the phone, a kind local recommended Bolete restaurant. My sister and I enjoyed a very delicious dinner in this spacious, artfully decorated, clean restaurant. The dinner exceeded our expectations! We had the Grilled Octopus and the Charred Plum and Greens for appetizers. We also had the Black Cod and Braised Chicken with Blackened Brussel sprouts. All were very delicious. Attentive and comfortable service. Loved to try other delicious another day. We met another local foodie/party girl on the way out. She also confirmed that this a beloved upscale restaurant patronized by the locals among a few other favorites. While this restaurant doesn't come up when we search for good restaurants in Niagara region, very likely because it is not on Open Tables, or did not pay the search engines. Try this place and you will be...
