I've been a patron of this restaurant many times over the last 3 years. Always alone, usually during a lunch break from my job as a contractor. 3 years ago, I would have given this spot 5 stars; the server was very attentive, polite, and even offered water. The food always came out hot and ready within 10 minutes. Maybe today was a bad day...? Perhaps the lunch rush was a tidal wave? When I arrived at 1pm, I had to choose a seat...there were many open. The server came over and took my order: coke, Asian salad, trad Ramen. The coke came out on time... The food...20 minutes...and not staggered. Salad and soup came out together...maybe this is the traditional 'soup & salad'. No problem. Today's noodles seemed sticky. The soup wasn't very hot but warm, and the pork slices were merely bites. It sound like there may have been an accident in the kitchen which slowed my order significantly. If this were the case, please offer me a free coke or a free dessert. I forgot to mention that I operated and owned several bars, restaurants, and nite clubs in Toronto prior to covid so I know a 'thing' or two...or maybe 100....
I've read other reviews about this spot and there are some similar themes regarding the washroom and the general cleanliness of the space. Remember, the bathroom reflects the kitchen...look it up!!!
The staff (one young lady), showed ZERO interest in my invested time at this establishment. She did invest a significant amount of time on her phone behind a much too large bar.
I don't wish to slag this restaurant because the noodles theme is amazing. I think it may be time to begin looking at other aspects of this 'business' to begin working towards the general and initial goal of restaurant service which is....providing awesome food to a deserving crowd of admirers and followers....word of mouth...or 'trending'
Have there been thought about laying a new vinyl floor down?Puffing up and redoing the flat cushions on plywood benches, redoing the washrooms..? (The men's is kinda stale and near grim)...im not sure about the ladies room. I know this costs money and the margins may not be awesome in restaurants, however, you're serving noodles/vegetables...low food costs.
Please take this with context. You guys should be a 5-star. You used to be... Time to buff things up.
Wishing you...
Read moreWas looking for a quick bite as we were passing through St. Catharines and came across Endless Noodles based on their online reviews.
IT LIVES UP TO THE HYPE. The atmosphere of the restaurant is simply fun and inviting and we were greeted immediately with a friendly smile.
We ordered the Smashed Cucumber salad, Peanut Noodles, Dan Dan Noodles and Spicy Pork Wontons from the appetizers section and shared a main of Eggplant in Garlic Sauce and a side of steamed rice.
Y'ALL.....Every dish ordered was executed perfectly. The Smashed Cucumber had just the right amount of heat from the chili oil in the soya garlic dressing and the crushed peanuts added a nice textural crunch.
The two noodle dishes had some serious authentic Szechuan flavor and the noodles from both dishes had the perfect bite. There is a nice lingering heat from what I can only assume are Szechuan peppers. The pork wontons were very tasty as we could definitely taste the pork filling that was encased in the perfect wonton wrapper.
Our main of eggplant in garlic sauce was a great vegetable alternative, with the pieces of eggplant mixing so well with the garlic sauce and completing the bite with the steamed rice.
Like all their other reviews, all my wife and I can say is that Endless Noodles is worth coming to if you are in the mood for some amazing Asian food. It exceeded our expectations. From the decorum to the fast and friendly service to the amazing dishes. St. Catharines is so lucky to have this restaurant and we will be coming back to try their other menu items.
ENDLESS...
Read more"Here, you will find food for you soul as well as comfort for your troubled mind." 😛 As a lifelong resident of St Catharines I can say this is one of the better places to happen to the city. I ordered the spicy miso Ramen for takeout. The noodles were homemade and easily digestible. The in-house broth was nicely flavored and spiced, I was almost worried I wouldn't have enough broth to finish all the noodles, but there was more than enough in the end (I weighed it and I got 924ml of broth, that's good value!). I felt good after the meal, it filled me up when I was hungry and warmed me up when I was cold. The girl at the counter and the man behind the counter answered all my questions and seemed like they were the owners, not just minimum wage staff, I was given cold ice water while I waited (although it wasn't filtered water, nor was it a long wait for my food, but the gesture was kind). The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant, I felt happy waiting and there was a good vibe. For less than $15 the value is good and goes toe-to-toe with the already established pho places in St. Catharines, it's great to have the option of another high quality noodle shop to visit, and I like the variety of their menu! I will have to come back and try some more dishes. I've wanted to try this place for a long time and have seen some mixed reviews, so glad I finally I got to try it for myself. Overall I would say they are firing on...
