Mr.Sub — Restaurant in St. Catharines

Normally, I give it a five. But tonight I had the worst sub I've ever had in my life. If this was my first time at this location I'd give it a zero and encourage you go anywhere else. The bun was over cooked on top, and soft and wet (on the bottom) - it was gross. It was their last and wasn't even in the bun tray - it was off to the side on the counter. I asked for little sauces and got 3 or 4 passes of each. The person before me had a meatball sub, because the knife wasn't cleaned before she cut mine.... there are other mr subs in St. Catharines, perhaps it's time to see what the others are like for the next few visits.

Edit after the reponse from the owner: Thank you for reaching out to me - I am sure if I contacted you, as owner you'd be sincerely concerned but I have no interest in any offers or encouragement to return to this location. I was a long term, well known customer, so it's not like I was a stranger. I have not eaten there since and will never eat there again. The experience was so bad that, in my opinion, food preperation cannot be trusted - and these were people I seen regularly. This is the second time I had a really stale bun. I went two weeks ago and got a sub and when I bit into it when I got home, the bread was stale and crumbling and falling apart. It was quite stale. I let it go as a once off thing.

I went today because I have an appointment and didn’t have time to make my dinner , so I got a sub. This time the bread was more stale , Almost hard, almost hard.

I suspect the new Canadians that own the establishment and operated it do not eat subs. Otherwise they wouldn’t feed stale bread to people..

If you look at my ratings on Google, I almost never complain, but this is ridiculous. I realize I’m not the only person that’s come here to complain about the stale bread.

I initially left this location 5 stars . As I kept ordering it got worse . I have been ordering via app and uber and they effed it up 95% of the time. We always ask for no sauces on all subs as we take it for work the next morning . Each time we order via uber or app they don't read that and put ALL sauces on which results in soggy subs we can't eat . Last time I specifically wrote NO SAUCES in big letters and "all sauces on side " and I get my order..and guess what. All subs are smothered with 3 Sauces each. It always goes in the garbage as we can't eat them the next day. This is the 4th and last time it happened. I will rather go out of my way and get my subs at a different location .learn how to read .
