5 Stars – Exceptional Customer Service by Hriday at A&W Welland Ave, St Catharines
As a pure vegetarian, it’s often challenging to find fast food options that truly respect dietary restrictions. Many places simply say “Sorry, it’s not pure veg,” and move on. But today, I had an exceptional experience at the A&W located at 525 Welland Ave, St. Catharines—all thanks to Hriday.
From the moment I walked in, Hriday patiently listened to my food preferences and restrictions. I was initially disappointed to learn that the vegetarian Masala Burger is usually fried in the same oil as chicken, which is sadly standard across most fast food places. But instead of brushing me off, Hriday took the time to go above and beyond.
He offered to clean the grill and cook the plant-based patty separately, ensuring no cross-contamination. He even recommended skipping the Uncle Sauce and mayo since they may contain egg as an ingredient, and instead suggested the Peri Peri sauce as a tasty vegetarian alternative. His understanding, attention to detail, and kind attitude completely turned my experience around.
Not only was the burger delicious, but Hriday’s service is what made it truly memorable. In a world dominated by scripted human responses and chatbots, Hriday’s genuine, customer-focused service stood out as a breath of fresh air.
Thank you, Hriday, for treating customers like real people and setting an example for what true hospitality looks...
Read moreI went to get breakfast with my friend I got 2 platters and 2 breakfast sandwiches with 2 hash Browns. They missed my hashbrown, got my breakfast sandwich wrong. Which was a simple sausage egger sandwich. They also got the drinks wrong. It was supposed to be one apple juice, one tea, and one vanilla latte. It was pretty easy. The drive-through didn't understand the orders coming through. He didn't understand what was being said clearly to him. Even at the window, he had to ask again regarding the one platter needing all bacon. And then when I got my sandwich. I look at the sandwich. And I told them that it is incorrected supposed to be a sausage sandwich. And then he said you guys need all sausage. I was like, no, my sandwiche isn't correct. So, it's not a good place to go early in the morning. Maybe later in the day. I don't really go out that much anymore because of these problems. But it's not a good place to go early in the morning. Go to McDonald's. That would be better. To be honest, McDonald's has fixed. All my problems when it comes down to issues and stuff. So yeah, other than that, MAKE FOOD AT HOME....
Read moreMUCH MUCH superior to the one near the Pen Centre (see my Glendale A&W review and why it should be avoided st all costs). There are some really lovely employees here with a great understanding of customer service. I go here close to daily so I can get a Beyond Burger, and I think they've only made a mistake on my order once. The Beyond Meat burger is do delicious and nutritious. I'm on a calorie reduced diet, and it's only 500 calories for the burger with sauce, and it's plant protein, without sauce is 350 calories. I never feel guilty eating it, and it's never made me feel sick. Pricey, sure (7.50ish)... But I find it amusing when people complain about that, because it is quality nutrition that won't lead to hypertension, diabetes, or cancer. These same complainers will spend 20 bucks a day on cigarettes and/or alcohol, so it's really just a matter of where your...
