Fresco's Euro Grille — Restaurant in St. Catharines

First time for everything. We arrived, 2 adults, 2 teens. 1 teen is on the autism spectrum and is beyond picky when it comes to food. Server came over to take our order and when we tried to order chicken fingers off of the kids menu for our daughter on the spectrum, the server said "sorry, the kids menu is only for kids 10 and under". When we tried to explain that she literally will NOT eating anything but chicken fingers or pizza, the server said "there are chicken fingers are the regular menu". We checked, there aren't. So we ordered her a pizza. She ate a slice and said, as expected, "I don't like it". We forced her to eat a second slice and reluctantly she did. She left 80% of the pizza and didn't want to box it to take it home. She was so upset that she left the table and dinner early and walked home. We asked for a box anyways and packed it up and tossed it into the compost bin when we got home.

Note that in 17 years this is the first time EVER at ANY restaurant EVER that denied our daughter a meal from the kids menu. Oh, well, first time for everything as they say. I mean, what's the big deal folks? Really? The principal? Really?

We also had the arancini and brie apps. Brie good, arancini rice balls small but ok. I had the chicken parm, don't order it. Not good. The sauce for the pasta tasted like it could have come out of a jar or can from the grocery store. Wife had the chicken tzatziki platter and while she said it had too much garlic, I liked it a lot. Frozen fries instead of potatoes was an odd choice as a side but the greek salad was very good. Our son had the lamb pita and he enjoyed it. $176 bill (with tip). 1 beer and 1 glass of wine for the adults, water for the kids.

First time here. Best sangria I've ever had made in Canada, I even went for a second which I rarely do because most restaurants just load them up with sugar. The food is perfect quality and the portions are good. Not too small but not too overwhelming. I had no problem spending what I did because the quality and the effort put into the dish was very professional. The atmosphere is comfortable, good choice of music whoever was there that day. The lights are dimly lit which I enjoy and there is lots of beautiful decor, almost like an art gallery walking to the bathroom. The service was top notch....not overbearing but made sure we had our drinks, kept it short and sweet even stepped away when we were paying which is polite. Everything was very clean. Not a single smudge, fingerprint, water droplet (I can look past this but when it's THAT clean I notice) I think this is my new favourite restaurant. Looking forward to coming back again and trying other dishes, it's a nice break from the typical "bar and grill" restaurants that have been taking over the city. This is the perfect spot a romantic evening, anniversary, fancy dress up family dinner...but does look like it's family friendly as well with comfortable...

5 stars for great food & drinks! I’ve gone 4 times this month, so I’ll break it down for each time

1st time we stopped in for tapas and had amazing food, drinks and service was very memorable!

2nd time we stopped in after having dinner elsewhere for dessert and some specialty coffees around 8pm in the bar, the server happily took our desert order but then told us she emptied the coffee already and turned the machine off (I noticed what I think was the manager and she eventually brought us coffee so I’m unsure if he said something to her) other than that was a positive experience!

3rd time we stopped in the bar as a group of 6 for cocktails and appetizers, amazing food and wine selection again! However same issue with ordering coffee, same server also, she said she turned the machine off, I then asked for a tea and she told me she turned the hot water machine off which was questionable. However I still had a pleasant experience

4th time was tapas again and it was great, I think the best time we had there with even better drinks and service, the server we had on the patio was so nice and attentive!

Overall will continue going back and bringing friends, consistent with quality of food and beverage and...
