I was there with friends recently at about 4:30 in the afternoon. It was warm and humid outside, but warmer and more humid inside the restaurant. When you see the servers perspiring, that should be your first hint it's pretty warm inside the establishment. Time to up the air conditioning. Nevertheless, we had very attentive servers who were polite and friendly: Always a good sign at any business. We ordered our food, which arrived promptly, and was very good. My only complaint was that the Margherita pizza had maybe one cut-up leaf of basil on it. I asked the server if there was a chance he could drop off a couple of leaves and, being the kind gent that he was, he came back with a small bowl of leaves. As for the Margherita pizza, which cost $19. just a dollar less than the others, which all have far more ingredients (meats, cheeses, vegetables...) it certainly wasn't worth $19. It was as large as the others, but come on, some sauce, a basil leaf, and some cheese. I won't order it again, despite it tasting okay. Far too much money for what you get. The other meals ordered by my friends looked good and also tasted very good. The restaurant quickly filled up and we were near the entrance so saw just about everyone who entered and exited. There were a few young people, but the age group seemed to be 40+. Near 5 pm the DJ started spinning records at the bar. He had headphones on and he started playing some great music. The only problem was that IT WAS LOUD!!! We eventually asked the server if she could ask him to turn it down a bit so we could hear each other talk at the table, but her response was that they'd already had a complaint and they weren't going to turn it down again. Alrighty then... Well, the couple beside us left after muttering about the loud volume, the lady leaving her wine glass ¼ full. Some others left too, who had been seated after us. We had no complaints about the choice of music, but when you have to shout over said music to have dinner conversation, it's probably a good indication it's too loud, and... we weren't the only people who complained. So, good food, some overpriced for what you get, dance music played as dinner music, manager's refusal to lower the volume a bit more... Won't be going back any time soon.

Welcome to Johnny Rocco's Italian Grill - a timeless classic that truly captures the essence of Italian cuisine. As I walked into the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the centuries-old stone architecture that creates an atmosphere of rustic charm and romance. For my starter, I decided to try the Arancini, which were perfectly executed, with a crispy exterior and a warm, creamy interior. The flavors were bold and satisfying, setting the stage for the rest of the meal. Next up was the Margherita pizza, which was good but fell short of my expectations. While the crust was nicely charred and had a good texture, the marinara sauce didn't quite hit the mark. It lacked the depth and authenticity that I was hoping for, leaving the pizza feeling a little underwhelming. To finish off the meal, I indulged in the Tiramisu, which was expertly made with layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, and a dusting of cocoa powder. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the textures were spot-on. But what truly sets Johnny Rocco's Italian Grill apart is the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. The centuries-old stone architecture creates an ambiance that is unmatched, making you feel like you've stepped back in time to a different era. It's a truly unique experience that adds an extra layer of depth and romance to the meal. In conclusion, while the Margherita pizza was a bit underwhelming, the Arancini and Tiramisu were both perfectly executed and satisfying. And, the ambiance of the restaurant is truly unforgettable - making Johnny Rocco's Italian Grill a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.

I’ve been here a few times dining in and was always good as there was always someone to ask for help but I had recently ordered pick up online was scheduled to pick up in an hour and a half we arrived and they had told us that it wasn’t ready and would be ten minutes tops as she’s walking away …15 mins later she hands me my food . Mind you it’s not busy I saw many tables empty so it makes no sense as to why you made me wait after I gave you and HOUR AND A HALF to prepare my food!!! I get home which is half hour drive away and they forgot my Caesar salad my garlic bread was not the same as what I’ve had before was very dry very stale. I didn’t even eat. It went straight in the garbage overall my meal was very disappointing. I wish I could get my $90 back. Also the Italian wedding soup is from a can you can taste it unfortunately can soup to me tastes like tin so that also when in the trash!! I hadn’t eaten all day and it was late I cried because of their service and am sad because I really enjoyed their food previously to this visit and after this I’m afraid to return! Edit:after receiving an email they were every happy to offer a gift card or store credit to give them a chance to make it up to us and they definitely met expectations this time, they remembered everything and even added bread and oil which was not given last time! The pasta could use a little bit more sauce (only for take out)but that’s the only thing I would have changed but still tasted really good! They are so kind and care about your time here at the restaurant or for takeout! The food is home made, THE BEST rice balls you will ever eat!!!

We came in tonight a very busy Saturday evening and from the moment we walked in, the seating hostess was friendly and welcoming. It was very busy and we did not have a reservation. She told us upfront how long the wait would be and was very organized with getting customers seated efficiently, and our turn came quite fast. The atmosphere in the restaurant is casual and modern and open, with a good energy. There were other families with children and we were given kids menus and crayons immediately upon being seated. We were also given the option between a highchair or booster seat and they brought it quickly. The booster seat brought to us was the right size for my 15 month old son, and worked really well on the booth bench where we were seated. We ordered the children's spaghetti and meatballs first, along with our appetizer of Zia's Rice balls. Both came quickly, and were hot and delicious. The kids portion was the perfect amount and the meatball was very tasty and nice and soft as it should be. The sauce with both our app and the kids pasta was very tasty. Our main dishes came with soup or salad; we both choose to upgrade to cesar salad which was lightly dressed and a perfect one plate portion. The bread and oil plate was fresh and warm and delicious and our main dishes were served hot. The presentation was lovely and i really appreciate that the parmesan cheese being offered was an actual chunk of parm brought to the table with a handheld grater- I was pleasantly surprised by it! Our waiter tonight was Jake, and he was fantastic! Even with a full busy section, Jake was attentive and efficient, pleasant and considerate. He understood to place our dishes out of reach of the children and helped us with negotiating many plates and glasses going and coming. Thank you for such excellent service Jake! The manager also came around often to see how we were doing which was really nice. Everyone we encountered was wonderfully kind and over the top helpful! Shout out to the tall waitress handling the 90's party, she was very organized and gave me the best directions for the washroom! Tonight there was a large party in the already busy main dining room and all the private rooms were full, but the staff and kitchens on shift tonight did a fantastic job keeping everything moving and hot. We were really impressed and will be returning to this Johnny Rocco's location in future. Thank you for the...

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the St. Catharine's location of this restaurant, and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food, service, and overall atmosphere left me thoroughly impressed, and it's worth noting that Bobby, who is heading off to school, was a standout member of the team. We have been going in every Thursday for the last two months.

First and foremost, the food at the St. Catharine's location was simply exceptional. Whether you're a fan of their signature dishes or exploring something new from the menu, you can expect a culinary treat that will tantalize your taste buds. The attention to detail in presentation was also evident.

What truly elevated this dining experience, however, was the exemplary service provided by the staff (Bobby who ended up serving us three times in a row). From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to ensure our visit was memorable. Bobby, in particular, stood out with his impeccable service and knowledge of the menu. His recommendations were spot-on, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It's clear that he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about the satisfaction of the customers.

Now, it's true that there may be variations in service and quality at different locations, such as the Lundy's Lane location in Niagara Falls. While both locations share the same owner, it's important that they maintain consistent standards throughout their establishments. If there are issues at one location that need improvement, it would be wise for the owner to address them promptly, just as they seem to have done at the St. Catharine's location. Customers should expect the same level of excellence regardless of which branch they visit. That's what a franchise is for.

In conclusion, my experience at the St. Catharine's location of this restaurant was outstanding, thanks in no small part to the exceptional food and the dedicated service, exemplified by Bobby. It's a reminder that with the right commitment and attention to detail, even multiple locations can thrive. I hope the owner continues to invest in maintaining high standards across the board, ensuring that all patrons enjoy a memorable dining experience,...
