U Need A Pita — Restaurant in St. Catharines

The wait times are a bit ridiculous. I'm a line cook and I know how long it should take to make pitas and sandwiches it should take minutes at least 3-5mins and multitask too. Don't just do one order at a time.

It should not have taken me 25mins to get one pita for myself. They had 5 orders ahead of me. All of them were pitas. It's "U Need A Pita" is it not? Shouldn't take that long I'm sorry. And what happened to your cutting boards? Isn't that a health regulation cutting on stainless steel will ruin the knives, and just unsanitary. I'm sorry for being a burden on this review but that's just unacceptable. I really wish I could get a refund after my experience being there. $20 for my pita and mac&cheese bites. A bit excessive for what I went through. But, the food was okay I guess for a "fast food" place. (not fast food if it takes almost 30mins). You guys had 5 ppl ahead of me! 3 people were in a group just finishing up when I got there and 2 other people just had falafel pitas. Just unbelievable. Ordered from here for the first time, was halfway through my burger and felt something hard. I pulled it out of my mouth and it was a staple. I then went in to tell them I had a staple in my burger and the person I spoke to was very rude. He basically told me that there is no way a staple would end up in the middle of my burger as they only use it for the bag. No customer satisfaction in return. Will never order from here ever again.

Due to the fact that I can’t reply back to the owners response I think i’ll just edit and say what needs to be said to the owner. You claim I am “hurting a business,” you shouldn’t be a business if first of all you are speaking and treating customers the way you are, and second with me receiving a burger with a staple in it and third your employees treating customers the way I was treated after a serious issue. The least you could do is offer a refund. Not usually one to write any kind of negative review but my experience here was just extremely disappointing and after reading a lot of the recent reviews I’m clearly not the only one! I went at lunch time and there was only one person ahead of me. The one worker was on her phone by the counter the entire time, while the other was cashing out and making the food but stopped a lot to talk to the other employee. Took at least 10 minutes for me to place my order because they kept talking to each other. They then both went into the back for about 10 minutes before the one returned and finally started making my pita. The workers clearly didn’t care at all and at that point had 4 customers waiting for over 20 minutes. Also the pita bread tasted stale and the topping selection was awful!!! not how it used to be! I went here only because there’s no pita pit close by and i was in a rush to go to my next job… would have probably saved time going to pita pit. Definitely won’t...
