Paesano Pizza — Restaurant in St. Catharines

I ordered a pizza last night. It showed up at noon today. I laughed, the delivery guy laughed. He went back to get his pay.

True story though. Whatever delivery service they use is super friendly. After I placed the order (and received a confirmation email and receipt) last night, I waited an hour and a half before going elsewhere. Then today around noon I hear a knocking at the door. The delivery guy was as confused as I was when I told him I didn't order a pizza and that it must be the pizza I ordered yesterday that never came. He called back to the shop, confused, and they told him to bring the pizza with him back to the store. Fine by me, I didn't want the pizza anymore but I feel for the driver who just wasted his time. I then tried to call the shop several times to see what happened and there has been no answer. I hope that driver still got paid, he was not the issue.

Would not recommend. Will not be going back. Can't speak to the food as I never got to taste it. Go to the Paesano's on Carlton, never a bad experience with them.

I did not order at 11:35, I ordered at 10:35 and have the receipt to prove it. I also ordered directly from your website (not a third party site) which not only stated you were taking orders until 11pm but sent me an email stating my order had been confirmed. Google also stated you were open to 11pm. And either way, if you knew it was ordered the night before, why did you send it out the next day assuming I'd be home to receive it? Garbage customer service.

I understand due to covid that many are closing earlier but with zero information stating any indication of this on your google hours or your own website, how is anyone supposed to know this.

I will not "try us next time" because it's a waste of time. At the end of the day it's just pizza but terrible customer service is terrible customer no matter what...

This Restaurant owner is very unprofessional . Last week had a letter on his store front saying be back at 2:45pm , waited 10 minutes went across the street to get a sandwich instead and watched him not show till 3:30pm

Tonight my Bestfriend wanted to try to order again , she ordered 40$ worth of food , ordered a 2L of pop and we got everything almost , pizza was meh only got 2 CANS of pop instead of the 2L.. . I called to let him know that the order we got was not completed as we got two cans of pop hoping we would get our 2L delivered to us . I called 5 minutes ago to request they bring the 2L that we ordered and i was told he would "owe me" two cans of pop for next purchase . I explained that i had 4 people in the house for pop, that i had just wasted time last time trying to order . OWNER THEN SWORE AT ME yelling and screaming that he is allowed to be late , that i left a mean message (which was me saying that he had lost my business that day) , said he would bring me 2 two more cans of pop, i then explained 4 cans of 350ml is still not 2L of pop that we purchased . He then yelled some more and then said he would bring me 3 more cans of pop .

His customer service skills are VERY poor I wish i checked the reviews before ordering 40$ worth of food and got talked down to and be littled .. Will not be returning , and he probably will not be bringing the pop to my house as I have read other comments that they have been promised items but have not had information taken down . Unbelievable ..

update : got the 2L of pop but should not have been treated so poorly. I work customer service and you get what you paid for not promised "IoU's" or have to fight what...

Love this place so much. Ordered for the first time today. Got my food within about a half hour. Still very hot. Lots of toppings. I ordered pepperoni, onion and green pepper. Lots of full slices of green pepper, not like the sprinkle of diced pepper most places do. It was slightly less cooked than I would have preferred but that's on me cause I should've just selected a different crispiness option. Plenty of sauce. Really good quality too. I read in a review that it's home made and that really checks out.

I also ordered the suicide wings. I do have to say I wish they were hotter. But I have a stupidly high spice tolerance so I'm kinda a bad judge there. I ordered close to closing so some of the wings were a little dry, but in a way you can tell if I had ordered earlier in the day they wouldn't have been. And even at that they were overly dry, still super enjoyable. The portion was fantastic and at a good price.

I've noticed a lot of the 1 star ratings on here are over kind of petty things. Someone was charged extra for extra sauce? Some people had their delivery take a bit too long. Some people said that the staff was short or "rude." And although I understand being upset about that, I don't think a lot of people know what 1 star means. I think this place would have way higher reviews if people knew that 1 star means "absolutely terrible" and not "I'm kind of displeased/inconvenienced by this experience"

Great portions. Super fast delivery. Very good food.
