Pretzelmaker — Restaurant in St. Catharines

I showed up around 4:00 yesterday (Saturday, March 23rd) with my kid to get a pretzel. We had to wait cause they had only one left, which was absolutely no problem and I said so. The young woman serving us couldn’t have been more miserable or apathetic. I work in retail, I get it. But this person was absolutely taking out their apathy and contempt for their job on her customers. When I asked her how she was she looked upset that she had to interact with me, and asked me impatiently if there was any way she could HELP me. When I said have a nice day, she refused eye contact and said “you too”- but she was giving me a sour look while she said it. It wasn’t busy, there was no one behind me. Unacceptable rudeness for absolutely no reason. This is the wrong person for a customer...

I couldn't believe it but the woman working had her small child serving customers. This is a serious child labor violation. Many people at the counter aside from myself were just as concerned. My 8 year old daughter was older than the child that served her an icee, and he served her the wrong flavor 😅 (no fault of his own. He's a child). Pretzels are really good! Love the cinnamon swirl and I like to get the vanilla sugar dip. I bought one for my husband and he didn't like it though...he got a savoury one (garlic I think) and he said it was too sweet. They recently had a price increase as well so I'm not really sure how I feel about paying over $5 for one pretzel. But they are delicious and I often get these instead of Cinnabon...
