My mom and sister have been ranting and raving about this restaurant since it opened. My daughters have eaten there as well and just loved the sushi. HOWEVER, our experience there yesterday which was my first, was terrible.
To start I called as I was debating between two restaurants, to check the prices and I was told that 4 of the children would be 10.99 and that myself and my oldest would be 27.99. thankfully I didn't just take enough out for that restaurant and had the difference because when I got there I found out that in fact 3 of us were actually 27.99.
Then, we began ordering. We kept getting doubles of food and food was not being sent. We got raw chicken twice then the manager came to the table and told me I was "being picky" and that I "didn't understand their cut of meat." But, last time I checked chicken needed to be thoroughly cooked in all types of cousine.
Furthermore, the food was not good. The deep fried brie cheese we ordered came out frozen in the middle, and the chicken as mentioned was either raw or it was pure fat. The noodles were cold and soooo salty. Halfway through the food started becoming slower and slower coming out. My daughter's octopus ball took 35 minutes to come out. Coincidentally at that time the supervisor showed up at our table to tell us that dinner is starting soon and to finish up (how rude!) And about 5 minutes after that the tablet you use to order stopped submitting food and said "ask an associate for assistance."
We felt like we were rushed and pushed out of the restaurant. We were not offered a new working tablet nor were we helped to order things after that.
It was a terrible experience and a waste of $148.00....
Read moreThe food is alright, the place is cozy and has this authentic Japanese vibe, and the service is a so-so. My mom and I went to eat here and we have order one of each of those steam dumplings and buns, and in both me and my mom's opinion, they don't taste as good as it looks and this is just our own opinion(everyone has different taste when it comes to food) but anyway, we only had 1 bite of each because of the taste we really couldn't finish it and since I'm also pregnant, I'm having some aversions too and when one server came to our table and my mom asked them to take those steam buns and dumplings, she got upset/mad to us and told us never order too much if we can't finish it and only order 1pc each.. and we ATE more and we DID order 1pc each of those steam stuff, I didn't think we have to explain ourselves but since she was upset/mad about it my mom told the server that I am pregnant and I am having food aversion, I used to love steam buns and dumplings but like I said, my pregnancy refused to eat those but she just ignored that fact and every time she walk passed by our table we can see her giving us a dirty look and it made me and my mom uncomfortable. The other server was sweet and understanding. But other than that one server. I can still recommend this place but just make sure you order 1pc of each item so you don't...
Read moreAfter leaving this restaurant, my wife suggested we leave a review as she was excited to try it out after reading such positive reviews on here..
In regards to the food, it was terrible. The chicken tasted like we were biting into a thick kitchen sponge. Not sure how this consistency even exists in chicken but the chicken udon, yellow curry chicken and peanut chicken don’t even qualify for a rating.
The sauces used on all of their dishes was terribly thick and salty. It was as if it came out of a mass tub that was tossed into a wok to heat it up.
Other dishes came out dripping in oil and were bland to taste with the exception of excess salt.
We sat there thinking that it truly wasn’t possible for every dish to be this bad, so we continued to order and we were consistently disappointed and said we absolutely wouldn’t return.
The reviews left here must be from people who do not eat Sushi and Thai regularly, otherwise the only stars being left would be for their customer service as they were all very pleasant and dishes came out within a minute of sending it in..
Wouldn’t return and do not recommend. Restaurant was clean and staff were nice hence my 2 star rating.
If you are hungry, go hit up Wind or East. Consistently delicious if a buffet sushi restaurant is what you are seeking. $70 for lunch...
