Tim Hortons — Restaurant in St. Catharines

Very disappointing and humiliating experience at this location

I visited this Tim's location at St. Catherine's yesterday. I was very disappointed by their service. My 77 year old mother wanted to use the restroom, I asked an employee for the key as the door was locked. She very rudely said that she was busy. She could have asked another employee to help us. But she did not. I intended to purchase food, but after helping my senior age mom to the washroom. Another lady ( not brown like me) was given the washroom keys, and a white lady went after her..nothing was said to them. I went inside, and another employee asked me to come out. I mentioned that I would use the restroom and then come out. After that, I went to purchase timbits and asked the employee why she had asked me to come out of restroom, she mentioned that " there are chances of people doing drugs" so they allow only two people inside and that her boss told her to call me outside. So I was treated unfairly, with prejudice and also judgment ( brown and assumed that I do drugs !!!) Racism exists at this location, fellow citizens. Note: Tim Hortons, this franchise disappointed my family. They must have treated many harshly, similarly to how my mother and I were treated. We were too shocked and humilated, and hence, I did not write a review yesterday. But Tim's at St. Catherine's, this treatment has to stop. Please train your employees at this location. They require "people skills, anti discrimination training and maybe employ some good-natured...

Stopped at this location while visiting family in St. Catharines. I must say that being close friends with several franchise owners in Hamilton, and seeing the day in and out side of how stores run, as well as how customers and staff interact. I was extremely impressed with the service of this location considering that it was clearly their morning rush and they were getting slammed. Not once were any of the staff rude, or made me feel rushed, etc. They were all extremely professional and courteous, even asking if I needed anything else, while subtly trying to upsell the items of the month. I was especially impressed with the way the young lady that served me handled my order, and greeted me and every customer afterwards with a smile and upbeat positive attitude, very rarely do you see a student or young lady of that age that is clearly very respectful and professional, truly a credit to that stores owner and location. If I were corporate or up to me I would definitely reach out to this location and acknowledge this young lady’s positive representation of Tim Hortons and the quality and expectations the company expects from their employees, her name was Alyssa and as I have stated a credit to your company in all aspects. I will definitely be recommending this location to anyone I know passing through the area and this is all due to the exceptional service I received from this young lady. Great Job! Alyssa.

Worst tim hortons ever, staff are not friendly, as the man made my mother swipe her own gift card when every other location doesn't let you swipe it yourself. the gift card fell and went into the stores donation box. My mom got out of car at window to make sure it didn't just fall under car or inside car at window and asked man at window if it could be in the box as it was a brand new never used card with $20 or $25 on it. She then paid with Mastercard and pulled over to parking spots across from pickup window and walked inside and asked another associate if there was a way they could check in the box. The associate did walk outside to go look and I watched him take the card out while i was sitting in my car watching and he just threw it back into the bin and lied saying there was no card!!!! i saw him take it out and i am VERY unhappy that they lied about it and didn't refund me a new card!! i have contacted there head office as well in hope to get my gift card back that was new and never used yet. worst employees ever!!
