Breakfast on a Saturday mid morning. Service was as to be expected. Breakfast was wonderful. Personal preference would be that pancakes would come with a side of syrup instead of already being doused. Only to give patrons the option on how sweet they enjoy their pancakes. Breakfast sandwich patties were a touch under seasoned for my liking but overall the breakfast sandwich was fantastic. The only legitimate complaint that could really be helped was that the fresh fruit cups that came were warm through and through. Warm fruit is a bit of a turn off. Atomosphere. I've always loved the old time wood and glass aesthetic. The room throws off a very much crooner lounge vibe. Throw in some oldies from the 50s and 60s while you dine and it's exactly how I would love to experience a time out. This place has never shown up on my radar for some God forsaken reason. I speak for only myself when I say this is exactly what I look for in a gastro experience even if it was just breakfast. Class for the common folk is what you could say. Wear your finest shorts but enjoy your "mahogany and leather" surroundings. Otherwise, can't wait to come back and try the breakfast again and lunch or dinner. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The restaurant at The Parlour Inn offers a lot of menu choices for breakfast, from traditional bacon and eggs to waffles or French toast with macerated berries to several different versions of eggs benedict. I ordered a coffee and the omelette with mushroom, goat feta, fine herbs and gremolata. It was accompanied by some fresh fruit and home fries. I’m not sure where the gremolata was hidden, but the omelette tasted nice. I was a little disappointed that they did not have any non-dairy options for my coffee (I have to avoid cow milk). Service was friendly and efficient, and I was offered top ups on my coffee a couple of times. I liked the added touch of a small vase with a flower on the table. There’s a lot of charm to this restaurant that has a turn of the century kind of vibe. Large parking lot on site.

We had a good dinner at the Parlour Inn. Expectations were not high, as it was one of only two restaurants in town with availability (we were negligent in booking reservations in advance). However it turned out to be very good. Not refined eating, more of a pub like atmosphere. I had a combo of French Onion Soup and their burger. The French onion soup was very good, on a par with others I have had recently at upscale restaurants. And the burger was also very good, although the bun did not hold up to the juicy burger, tomato and other ingredients. Also ordered was the Prosciutto flatbread with Apple Butter, Brie, and Red Onion. The big winner of the evening was the pavlova - shared fortunately, as even for two it was a decadent but amazing indulgence.

I had just recovered after being in the ICU/ being on oxygen for 4 months from covid. I had been off work for several months. It was my fiancé and I’s anniversary. She wanted to take me out for a nice dinner. I cannot recall the servers name. She was in her 50’s. She did a great job until it came time for the bill. My fiancé asked the server for the bill 3 times. Each time she was ignored. Finally I asked. The server came back handed me the bill, then left to get the machine(my fiancé was sitting there with her debit card in her hand for the past 10 min and each time she had asked for the bill). When the server returned, she handed me the machine. So I handed it to my Fiancé. The server laughed and said “oh shes paying?”, “ohhh hmmm, I guess.. thats okay.. “(gave me a dirty look) then “hmmm well hahah I guess thats okay…” (gave me another dirty look)”well hmmm I guess so...” My fiancé got uncomfortable and tried to defend me saying that “he pays for things all the time” then the server said “ohhh mhhmm hmm” then gave me another dirty look. First of all its not the 1970’s, its 2022 and if a women wants to take there man out to a nice dinner, they should be able to without any smirky judgment. Second if you work in the service industry and you want to make tips, keep you’re verbal diarrhea under control. Its too bad because I thought the food was good, minus the...

This is a clean and beautiful restaurant with romantic dim lighting and a fresh rose at every table 😍 There is lots of room and it is a great place for a quiet, relaxing meal. The music was soft and not overwhelming which made it a very peaceful atmosphere. For our appetizers we ordered the confit mushrooms, ricotta gnudi, and french onion soup. All were delicious 😋 it was a great variety actually

For our mains we got the truffle gouda tagliatelle and classic smash burger with sweet potato fries. My fiance said this was the best burger he has ever had. I loved the pasta dish - it was so flavourful with a creamy sauce, beautifully sauteed mushrooms and tomatoes, and plump juicy chicken breast. Fries were thick and were served with a yummy garlic aioli dip :) Our server made me a great non alcoholic Shirley Temple and my fiance really enjoyed the local Black Swan EPA.

Service was excellent. Our server was really nice and promptly seated us. She was patient with us even though we were really slow to order 😆 Food arrived quickly as well. Portions were good we were so full after 😅😅😅

Thank you to all the staff for a great meal and experience. If you are in Stratford you...
