Updated below. Despite the extreme heat wave, myself, mom sister and adult daughter ventured out to explore your store as we have in the past there was no near by patking so we parked a few blocks away and walked to your shop sipping our water so we wouldnt get heat related illness. We were in your shop for 30-45 min i had approached one of your employees and asked if i could use the restroom sonce i had been drinking alot of water. She directed me to a public restroom about a block away. I did not want to leave my senior mother so i held off. I made a few purchases and left with my little crew. O told my daughter we needed to find a washroom as we were patked in the oposite direction of the public restroom, my daughter then asked why i did not use the washrrom at your shop? I told her i asked and was denied and she said well they let me use it. My daughter who made no purchases was permitted to use the bathroom and i was denied after spending money. This upset me im not sure why i wasnt allowed but others were this really hurt my feelings. Im not sure if this is a age thing since my daughter was close to the ages of the employees or if smothing was wrong with me but many hours later im still upset by this mistreatment. I was fine having to wait to use a restroom else where till i found out i was discriminated. This is very hurtful. Thank you for ruining our almost perfect weekend.
Update. Response to your reply. The washroom was accessible to some customers but i was not permitted, that is when it became a discrimination issue. I was discriminated. It was hurtful. The washroom rule should apply to all customers and not exclude one. That is discrimination and again hurtful. If you took the time to read and understand my post i was understanding that the washroom was private and willing to find another restroom i just wasnt expected to be...

Read moreThe folks at MacLeod’s Scottish Shop are fantastic. Their products are top notch and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We always visit during our annual Stratford trip, and the staff make shopping there a pleasure. This year I decided to buy a kilt in their Witches’ Blood tartan. They had two sizes on the rack that were close fits. Rob and their tailor coordinated to make the small, but necessary alterations to get me looking great. They worked under the time pressure of my busy schedule and had the kilt ready earlier than expected. The kilt looks great and was a big hit with family and friends, as well as patrons and staff at the shows and restaurants we visited that day. I love the Witches’ Blood Tartan with its beautiful blend of black, grays and a hint of crimson. This will be a staple of mine for...
