UPDATE 2024 the last couple years here have been much more consistently enjoyable experiences for breakfast and in general so I’ve updated to a 5 star review!

Joe the supervisor is very friendly and there’s new interior changes.

I’m trying to eat healthy these days and I still come to A&W for lettuce wrap burgers, and sometimes a breakfast combo where they hold the toast and give extra bacon and tomatoes.

UPDATE July 2018 They do lettuce wrapped burgers here if you are looking for a healthier option.

UPDATE JAN 2017 Theres been a recent management change again here, and now the breakfast is great. I've been here 4 times for breakfast in January and have always had great food.

Original 2016 review: There's nothing better than A&W rootbeer :) Love me a teen burger too. Buddy Burgers are a great value.

Breakfast here is hit or miss. I've tried the breakfast here over the years, different staff, different managers, and I always seem to have a bad breakfast experience.

The egg is usually brown from pan grease, and sometimes I even get egg shells.

I wish the breakfast here was better because you actually get real fresh eggs and great bacon...but when you need that emergency breakfast sandwich fix, I'd suggest sticking with McDonalds or...

11/2/2024 10:34am *WARNING UNACCEPTABLE CANADIAN FAST FOODSERVICE OPERATIONS

-10:34am went to Strathroy AW location to buy breakfast/eat in -excrement (poop) was at entrance door of location and being trailed into store by patrons (pictures below) -brought to attention of counter employee who took my order with little response and re addressed 10 minutes later

-10:50am watched back of house/kitchen employee arriving to work also stepping in poop, go to patron washroom (assuming to clean shoes?), then to kitchen to cook/work? no attention given to mess at entrance/store areas (pictures below)

-10:51 asked for store manager and was told ‘left to deposit money from register’ as other 4 staff members were incapable of decision making in cleaning mess.

-verbally addressed staff at counter with now other customers also voicing their concerns.

Every time we go to this A&W they make mistakes on our order. The cooks clearly don't care about the products that they are putting out, because the order is correct on the receipt, but it's made wrong. One time asked for no mayo, got no onions on one and mayo on both. Another time asked for no tomatoes on one burger, got tomatoes on both. Sometimes the fries are dry and chalky with no salt, sometimes they're not bad. The pop is usually flat. Tonight I told them we wanted plant based options, no mayo, no cheese. Got home there was cheese on both, no mayo, but also no ketchup, or any other condiments at all! Completely dry. Tomatoes were ends, lettuce was pieces and brown and the fries had no salt. The manager and the franchise owner clearly have no interest in running this place or serving a quality product because I've never seen anyone there other than teenagers. I wouldnt be so upset if it wasn't $50 to feed 3 people. I can go to a eat-,in restaurant for less and get far better food. Wake up people, there are far too many other choices, and we will...
