Dear A&W Management Team,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your restaurant. During my visit on November 25th, around 7:10 PM, I encountered a situation that has significantly affected my perception of your establishment.
Upon needing to use the restroom facilities, I was dismayed to find them out of order. While I understand that such incidents can occur, it was the response from one of your staff members that truly upset me. In a brief interaction, I mentioned the inconvenience in a normal tone. However, a male employee in the kitchen responded in Punjabi, saying "ki kriye fr" ("what should I do") in a manner that came across as extremely rude and dismissive.
This response was not only unprofessional but also created an unwelcoming and uncomfortable atmosphere. It is concerning that such an attitude is displayed towards customers, as it reflects poorly on your establishment's commitment to customer service.
Given the seriousness of this issue, I urge you to investigate this matter and take appropriate steps to ensure that all staff members are adhering to a standard of professionalism and courtesy. This experience has left me reluctant to visit A&W again, and I hope to see improvements in both customer service and facility maintenance in the future.
Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreI witnessed a young man ask for 3 teen burgers for breakfast. "Would you like cheese?" Asked the tall man at the counter. "What?" Asked the young man. "Cheese, would you like it on your burgers?" Asked the tall man. "On the burgers?" Asked the young man. "Yes" Said the tall man. "No, no cheese today" Said the young man.
I thought to myself, does he say "yes, I would like cheese" most days yet for some inexplicable reason this morning he had a distaste for it?
Is he more likely to find himself eating teen burgers for lunch? Where he finds cheese to be more agreeable to his palette?
Or does he, in all circumstances, decline the restaurant worker's offer of cheese on his hamburgers?
This is a silly thing to be thinking about, I though to myself. I should probably go now as I've been staring at this young man for 5 minutes and it appears I'm making him uncomfortable.
As I left the young man asked me, "you got a problem?" ....
No no no young man, I replied, just contemplating your daily dietary requirements.
The look on his face said it all....
Leave now or risk bodily harm.
I decided then to leave the restaurant, the young man and the thought that somewhere, sometimes, he may very well enjoy some cheese on his hamburgers.
Just not today .....
10/10 - Would make young men uncomfortable with prolonged eye...
Read moreThe service here it's absolutely atrocious. I only came because the Scott road drive-thru location had a technical problem. I had to bang on the glass for about a minute straight until one employee opened the door and told me that they were closed I gestured towards the over a meter square bright orange glowing neon sign that says "open 24 hours" and read the sign aloud accounting for possible illiteracy and only then was I told that they're only open for online orders so I placed an online order and waited for about 20 minutes and watched the two bobble heads just stand there chatting with each other. the one fat one who had just told me that they were closed and then right after that told me that they were open for online orders jestured towards me and the boney looking one came out again and told me that they were closed so I demanded a refund for the money which I had paid them through the online ordering system it also mentioned that the other one had told me that they were open for online orders. Now suddenly I'm being told I can wait inside but I had no desire to enter the establishment whatsoever. By this time the quote on the online ordering system had already expired and they began to prepare my food which did not take very long to actually do once the chatter stopped and the work began. The food...
