Usually I have had good experiences with this location although not only were they extremely rude and discriminatory this time I visited, i could hear the employees clearly throughout the store talking about me as well as slandering my name while I was trying to use their facilities. I left extremely embarrassed as well as frustrated. As a person with mental health problems and who is on medication that effects my regularity I always take longer than most in the bathroom. Within the first few minutes of letting me in they had already buzzed open - luckily I had locked the deadbolt or they would have opened the single occupant bathroom(no stalls) on me which would have literally exposed me to whomever the customer opening the door was. I'm beyond furious. The employees continued to laugh, poke fun at and generally talk about what I might be doing in there rather than going to the bathroom, going as far as suggesting that I was using drugs. They intentionally made me feel very uncomfortable, the entire time i was in there I felt as though they might come barging in at any second I was so uneasy and ultimately I am feeling very discriminated against, bullied, embarrassed and hopeless and so troubled all together I don't feel that I am going to be comfortable returning to this location.
This occurred between 6pm and 6:30pm Wednesday, December 30, 2020 and I will be contacting upper management, HR, Corprate (or owner if it is franchise, and then even then.) As well as my lawyer.
I asked to speak with the manager when I called them to express my thoughts and concerns and was instantly greeted with resistance. I was told there was no management on shift at all and I was asked whom I was and such and eventually got a managers name out of the person I spoke to.
When I was done nobody was there to use the bathroom. On top of that it was a girl who was saying they needed to use it. So they very easily could have used bathroom designated for their sex.
After this all happened I started writing this and then I went back in to get some food, the guy started off using the plastic sheets tk grab my cheese biscuit then no gloves for my timbits. He then washed his hands AFTER handling my food and this was the only time I seen a single one of their staff wash their hands at all.
And that's what really grinds my gears, this John Doe another wonderful evening...
Read moreI would like to post this review of my negative experience dealing with this particular Tim Hortons location.
I have been visiting this location many times in the evening over the last several months and noticed that the store employees close more than half of the seating space available for dine in to customers. Recently, it happened to me again and upon asking employee who did it why they are doing it, I was told "it is easier to clean the space".
Please note, that this is occurring on a daily basis at around 9pm which is still 2 hours before this branch closes. This practice makes 0 sense. I find this especially annoying because this branch is already small enough with dine-in space available and given how busy it gets even in the late hours of the day, this ruins the experience even more. Also, you are gonna clean the space close to closing time anyway, so why close more than half of seats this early?
Other negative experiences are as follows:
First, they keep locking one of the entrance doors at around 9 pm as well and ask people to enter from the other door for some reason.
Second, most of the foods from the menu get taken out around 7 or 8pm which is still way before store closes and u can no longer order them. Here I mean items such as bagels, donuts, tim bits etc. What is there left then from the counter?
Third, men's washroom has been "out of service" for God knows how long at this point so that is also bad. Here I mean many many months which is just unacceptable.
I am hopeful that the owner of this branch can look into and most importantly fix all these issues moving forward. By far, this is the only branch I have seen that does all that and I have visited many before (including many...
