Consistently great food. I have eaten at Barcellos for many years, but this relatively new location in Cloverdale is my favorite. I do takeout, and the food is always delicious and hot. They have no complaints adjusting your meal to accommodate allergies, which I have many. Never once have they made a mistake with my order and all the changes I require. The staff are friendly (they are always smiling), polite and knowledgeable. They can answer any questions about their product, as it is made on premises, from real ingredients. On the rare occasion they do not know something, they will find the answer. I think the prices are reasonable, I usually order the Supremo Family meal, and find it to be ample, high quality food, and cost effective. They throw in free plates and cutlery, just ask. I would highly recommend the great food and courteous staff at Barcellos Flame Grilled Chicken, Brickyard Station...
Read moreAs a tipping regular my corn was ice cold. They took my nibbled on corn off my plate, burnt it to heat it up and served me it. You could not taste the corn at all, only burnt tasting. Corn stays hot for a long time so how long had it been sitting there before they served it. Now I'm hoping I don't get sick off of it. All I can taste is burnt food in my mouth and it's over an hour since I ate there. This is not the first time they did this with my corn so this review is well earned. And to treat a regular like that says a lot about how much they don't care. Their chicken is a hit and miss, too, sometimes it doesn't look fresh and is rubbery and dry with little sauce on it. I feel like I have been there enough to know their customer service is terrible unfriendly and likely these positive reviews on their customer service is likely from their family or friends, not real...
Read moreLet’s get this out of the way first: my wife loves Barcelos, which means I, too, love Barcelos. That's how marriage works. You don’t marry a person, you marry their food preferences.
We’ve been here many times with our kid, and it’s always solid. Food comes out quick and the service is great. The place is clean, and a smaller than some other locations, but honestly that just means less walking between the counter and the table.
Now, about those pictures on the wall… not gonna lie, they’re kinda weird. One of them looks like a guy standing in a fiery inferno, possibly holding a spear? It's giving “burning in peri-peri hell” vibes. But hey, nothing says "spicy dining experience" like a mysterious silhouette engulfed in flames. It really sets the tone.
Also, we always end up sitting right next to that painting. Every. Single. Time. I don’t know why. I’m 90% sure he’s...
