This is my favorite Thai Restaurant I have been here a handful of times in the last year and I live in Edmonton. My best Experience was on my Birthday when we ordered the Snapper. This is a dish you have to special order 2 days in advance. It's like they hire a guy to go catch the fish for you!, it's sooooo fresh! Trust me it is worth the wait. I was making animal noises why eating, NOM NOM NOM!! They will even make it to your spice level preference. I recommend the Pork Lettuce Wraps as an appy too. I have yet to have a bad meal here. The host and cook are a married couple, she is an authentic Thai lady and a wonderful cook, he is very friendly and super easy to like. I have been meaning to write this review for a long time as this place deserves to be praised. Now Chaba Thai is not licenced but they have bottle service. You can bring your own whine, spirits or beer and they will serve it to you for a very reasonable fee. This place gets a 10 out of 10 in every respect from me and I can't wait to Celebrate my Girlfriend's and my Bestie's Birthday there later this month. Bravo Chaba Thai, Brovo PS, I salivated while reminiscing about the food at this place. Cant wait to go back!

I love exotic food so has tried many Thai restaurants. This Chaba Thai is a gem that you should never miss. Decor is Asia authentic and clean, high ceiling, wooden floor, draped windows with artistic display, roomily space and soft music. It’s a great place not only to satisfy your appetite but to comfort your mind as well. Food are excellent and price is, to my surprise, inexpensive. I went for lunch and for $10.50 you will have a very fresh salad with two made daily deep fried fish cake dumpling, a bowl of soup and a main dish with very generous portion (please refer to attached photos). All dishes were served with ceramic plate and silverware (no plastic or melamine resin). Food ingredients were fresh, with superior aroma and excellent presentation. This restaurant is locate in a building facing an no-name alley off 176 St. Google map will guide you there but you have to turn West from 176 St to a small alley. Free parking is available.

Really happy with our takeout order! We were recently looking to order takeout and every restaurant we knew of was too busy to take orders. We were nervous to take a chance on a restaurant that was unknown to us but when our food arrived, we were so pleased with our dinner. Food was wonderful and portion sizes were generous. Lots of veggie options. We ordered through skipthedishes and had no issues. I cannot say that it was the most flavourful Thai food we've ever ate, but it was absolutely delicious and did the trick for us! We will order again! (For reference, we ordered the Veggie Spring Rolls, Green Curry, Pad Thai, and the Pad Kee Mao). I loved the spring rolls and my daughter really enjoyed the noodles. They are very kid-friendly!

Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. After being seated we waited 20 minutes to have our order taken. We had to call the waitress over to the table, she then walked away to bring plates to another table. She came back a few minutes later to take our order (2 people). 10 minutes later, one plate of food arrived, I waited 10 minutes for my food before I had to speak up to the waitress that was now cleaning tables to inquire if my food is on the way, she was confused, went to the kitchen, came back and said it will be out soon, it was definitely forgotten, when we ordered she read it back, so the order was taken. She brought my food out a few minutes later. Unfortunately it was not worth the wait, I ordered the cashew nut chicken, she asked how spicy I liked it, I said medium, it was not spicy at all, just sweet. It also was.missing the celery, although, the chicken was cooked well and there was plenty. The waitress never came back to check on how the food was. When I went to pay, the same waitress at the til didn't greet me or ask how the meal was, she didn't even tell me the total, I saw it on the register and handed over cash, as the debit/credit card machine was out of order. I rarely don't tip, but for this horrible experience, I felt zero guilt asking for my change, except she didn't have the 60 cents in change, I got a quarter back. Some of the recent reviews say this place has new owners, if so, they are in trouble, I don't see this place being open 6 months from now if this is the level of service and food being served. The coconut...

Unfortunately, we have to update our review after so much time being a loyal customer. The beef, chicken and pork has deteriorated so much that it had become old, smelly, fatty and scarce in the dishes. The sauce that used to be velvety and smooth has become greasy and watery. The staff keep messing up your order and don't care for any customization or exclusion requests. Time to find another Thai food restaurant???? What a shame. This place has really changed. We prefer dining in now as apposed to ordering in as you really can appreciate the food and the service.

This is by far one of the most authentic and amazing Thai food restaurants that we have visited and we have been to our fair share ☺️.

They really go out of their way to customize your spice level and they have options for your protein or no protein at all.

We tried their golden wontons, thai fried rice, panang curry, pad ped and pad ka pao. All their curries and stir frys come with jasmine rice.

Will definitely be returning...
