Lighthouse is known for their fish pakoray and tartar sauce. So we made the trek out all the way to Cloverdale from the tri- cities. I was so excited to pick up take out. We got fish pakoray, chicken pakoray, panir pakoray and butter chicken. The panir pakoray were not bad. A little on the dry side but the sauce in the centre was lovely. The chicken pakoray were good too, paired really well with mint chutney. The fish pakoray, however, tasted different. I remember them being famously flavourful but instead were bland and the fish seemed different. The tartar and red sauce are still the same - both super amazing. We had the butter chicken later in the day for dinner and it was also bland and the gravy was not rich and creamy. It was rather like a tomato soup base. I love Indian food and love supporting my people locally. I have run Indian restaurants myself and I will not give up on a restaurant because of one experience. I will be back in a few months time to try it again. Consistency is hard to up keep and I know lighthouse has some great dishes and great potential… until next time <3

12$ for 1 box of fries via uber eats, and the quantity for 12$ is absolutely a joke! Half of the box was empty. For 12$ one should at least receiving a good portion of fries considering the quantity other competitors provide with less charges. Also the advertised fries and google review fries looked fresh hand cut and tossed in spices. Where as to our surprise we received frozen packaged crinckle fries which the store fried and tossed in spices. Lacked the taste and it was totally deceiving from the posted photos. Fries in nature are not crinkle but straight and if you chose to offer otherwise then please mention it in the description. We have eaten same fries from different lighthouse locations hence we knew what we were expecting. Therefore, it was quite a shock and disappointment.

We brought naan from their place and its cost was $50 and they looked like they weren't even cooked, it felt like we were eating something raw and we had to heat the food up again and cook it as you can see in the first picture. When we tried to tell the manager about how the food was so uncooked they took 50 dollars for this just for it to be raw. They should honestly be ashamed of what they sell and should honestly get better workers. The manager just told us to come and return it and get more and they’ll make sure it’ll be cooked. Hell no I won't drive another 20 minutes to go to their place again. Please do better next time.

The service is about as bad as it can get. I ordered two orders of fish & they told me it would take 10 minutes. I chose to sit down and have lunch special but the server never came back. About 10 minutes later, I went to the counter & paid for my two orders of fish pakora. Upon teaching my car, I realized that the order was in one bag and went back to get them to separate the order as I was taking the two orders to 2 different homes. Upon arriving back at the counter, now there is a man there who feels it’s my job to tell them in advance that I want two packages even though I ordered two to start with. The man was rude, kept on insisting that it was my fault that I didn’t tell them it was two orders. Thank God, one of the girls separated the chutney etc & gave back the two bags. It’s about as rude a restauranteur can be. I would never go there again nor recommend anyone else to either. When I deliver the first package, it was discovered that they hadn’t loses the lid on the chutney properly and it was all over the box. Need I say more? They were acting like the customers owed them...

We ordered close to $200 in food and the quality of food we got was horrible as well as the portions. I have been going to this location for close to 2 years and their quality has steadily gone down, the only reason I go at this point is because it’s close to my house in case I have last minute guests coming over. When I order any dish the paneer pakoreh I think they buy from that Nanak brand and just reheat it and the paneer tikka comes with like 5 pieces and th rest is all filled with onions and the chicken is rubbery and overcooked.they lie with how many pounds it is, they make it more than half full of just veggies. Even their customer service is horrible it’s the same as just going there and ordering you end up waiting for 15 minutes .Ive tried talking to them on the phone and asked for no veggies or onions to be added, but they claim it’s just their recipe and they have to. I have been going to Spice Kings and GREWAL sweets and I have always been happy...
