Bon Ga Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Surrey

As a loyalty customer came to this location more than 10 times, this is the first time make me feel very disrespectful and so unwelcome. We came for dinner around 5 pm , our server( lady) took 15 minutes at least to provide the menu after we sat down. And after when she was delivering the plates and cutlery , she dropped all the cup and plates all over on it table and made an excuse as she had a tough day. We were trying to be understandable and said it’s okay. But what surprised me was her super disrespectful attitude. We were waited forever to receive our order until we came up to them to ask, but all we received was “ oh I forgot “ . Without any apologies! When waited for long time, she was delivering a dish for us, while she was shouting in Korean and say the dish is too smoking and turned away her face and after coughing nonstop in front of our food. ( Is that food safe ? ) We still try to enjoy our food as we already trust the food quality as always. After we try to order another soju, we had to came up to server to order because she never came to our table to check what we need , and after the order is placed, we were waiting for more than 30 minutes until we stood up and she realized she forgot our order also without any apologies. After when we were ready to pay and get our to go box because we were still eco- friendly, we also have to stood up to ask server for Togo box. She gave us wrong box for our soup hot pot without packing bag to carry. We were asking for bags , she only said “ I give u one “ in very rude way. I was asking for itemized receipts, she also said “ I give you “ inpolitely . No goodbye greetings as before. We felt so unwelcome this time, also the receipt was over charged for 3 to go bags as we only had 2. By the way, the picture shows the water cup is unclean and never been changed. As a Korean immigrant, finding satisfying Korean food can be quite challenging. However, I finally discovered a restaurant that has truly captured the essence of Korean cuisine!!

The food here is simply outstanding. Each dish is prepared with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in an authentic and flavorful experience. As someone who has tried numerous items on the menu, I am still in awe of how consistently delicious every dish has been. From childhood comfort food to delectable seafood dishes, this place covers a wide range of cravings, leaving no stone unturned.

The servers deserve a special mention for their exceptional hospitality. They are not only friendly but also attentive and genuinely helpful. Whether you need assistance in navigating the menu or have specific dietary requirements, the staff is more than willing to accommodate your needs. Their warm and welcoming demeanor adds to the overall dining experience, making you feel right at home.

One thing to keep in mind is that the portion sizes here are quite generous. If you prefer exercising portion control, it's advisable to be mindful of your order. However, if you're ready to indulge in a feast of flavors, this is the place to be :D

They don’t even deserve a star! But in order for me to write a review I have to give a star. I went with my parents and the girl server was already giving us attitude and just pointed out a table for us to sit. So we sat down and waited, server didn’t bother asking or giving us tea/ water or any utensils. An couple came by and sat next to our table. The lady who was on cash duty came rushing and right away gave them tea and started asking them their order and right after she just ignored us. No one came to ask if we were ready to order. I had to wave my hand to ask the girl server and she was like ready to order? So we ordered and she still didn’t offer us tea so I asked her to bring us some. So we waited, saw her running around giving other tables attention. OF COURSE NOT OURS! i don’t know if it’s because we’re the only non korean customers there but that’s how we felt. we waited for half an hour and she came up to us and said our order got mixed up with another table and she needed to clarify and my parents and I think this server and their service is very unacceptable. We walked out and cancelled everything. I’ve been to many korean restaurants all over lower mainland and this is the FIRST RESTAURANT that gave me this feeling of being unwelcome and denied SERVICE THAT WE DESERVE.
