I had an excellent experience at Pho Hong, a standout choice for Vietnamese cuisine in Whalley. The service was warm, attentive, and consistently friendly, making the visit feel welcoming from start to finish. The server really goes the extra mile to ensure you have a great meal, whether you’re dining in or stopping by for a late-night bite. Why Pho Hong is a go-to for Vietnamese food Exceptional consistency: The flavors never disappoint, and the dishes always arrive beautifully presented and freshly cooked. Generous portions: Their portions are very generous, making it easy to share or savor leftovers. Family-friendly with a cozy atmosphere: A comfortable spot for families, friends, or solo diners. What they specialize in Classic Vietnamese favorites with robust, satisfying flavors Rich beef broth and well-balanced spice profiles that showcase traditional techniques Specific highlights The house special pho is a standout—rich, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. The beef broth is especially flavorful, delivering a comforting and soulful bowl every time. A large serving can be easily shared by two people, making it great for those who want to sample more without rushing. Convenience and hours Parking is convenient and not a hassle, which makes for a smooth visit. Open 24 hours, so you can satisfy a craving any time of day. Overall, Pho Hong is famous for its reliable quality, generous portions, and timeless Vietnamese classics. If you’re in the mood for comforting, well-made Vietnamese cuisine in Whalley, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Dine-in during late night shift about a week ago. Resto was new, so the overall impression was nice, and clean. Service was little to none. Except for ordering and bringing food to the table, servers were nowhere near. No water refill, no checking up on the food, etc. Food was, in all honesty, bad. Noodles were overcooked, mushy and broken(see photo). Broth was bland, not as in seasoning bland, but quality bland. My wife had a Bun Bo Hue less spicy, and I got the House special beef Pho. And for some reason, there was also Bun Bo Hue oil floating on my Pho bowl (using the same ladle for 2 different broth bases!? It’s a cross-contamination alert!). The only bonus is their big portion for the bucks, which could easily fill you up if you’re a night owl. Overall, not my cup of tea.

They had great food with big servings that I wasn't able to finish my chicken! I ordered the grilled chicken and I got two big pieces. They were seasoned really well and grilled perfectly. There was also a big scoop of rice and a little salad to the side that it felt like two people can share the food. I also got a side of their broth which tasted really good too. My friends got their large pho and it had tons of meat piled on it. All of us had to-go containers to take home lol. I also ordered their soursop smoothie with coconut jelly and they are the best I ever had! You can see the staff making the smoothie with fresh fruit, the avocado smoothie had one whole avocado used! The staff were nice and very approachable. Highly recommended and will definitely come back!

I ordered 2 vermicelli dishes and 1 rice dish and 3 sets of deep fried spring rolls thru uber eats as i got the order i see that they gave 2 rice dishes and 1 vermicelli and 3 sets of salad rolls so i called the shop and told them that they got the order wrong and is there any way to fix this.Nope that lady was sooo rude and laughing at me and just kept repeating “i know i know” buy this time my brother started talking to her and asked her why is she being rude to a customer she kept arguing with him saying she is not in the wrong and she cant do anything and just laughed on the line again. Then she put the phone away and 5 min later we hung up and then called back again and she kept ignoring the call. Then we called the Kingsway location hoping to talk to the owner and they were so kind and tried to fix the situation and Liam (one of the staff )tried to talk to the owners but they said they cant do anything except to give me a complimentary shake on my next order.I asked them maybe check the calls or cameras and he said they have no call recordings or audio cameras in the shop. In short they couldn’t help me but they only thing i requested was for the staff to be talked to so that she doesn’t talk to another customer this way.NO ONE WANTS TO BE LAUGHED AT WHEN THEY SPEND $150 ON FOOD & THE LEAST SHE COULD HAVE DONE WAS TO...

I called in an order for Lemongrass Chicken and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up 20 minutes later, thinking I was giving them extra time, but ended up waiting another 40 minutes.

While I sat there, I watched 4–5 Uber Eats orders with the same exact dish go out ahead of mine. So clearly, online orders were prioritized even though I called in. Then a table of 12 people came in, sat down, ordered after me, and started getting their food before I even got a glance.

I had to say something before they finally brought out my order. No apology. No explanation. No discount or compensation. Just completely ignored like my time didn’t matter.

This place has zero consideration for in-person customers. What’s the point of calling ahead if they’re going to treat you like an afterthought? What a joke of customer service no coordination what so ever between the...
