Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Surrey

Extremely disappointed with our recent experience at Chipotle at this location on April 19 in the evening. As vegans/vegetarians, we’re very careful with what we eat—but while eating our bowl, we found hard, chewy pieces that looked and felt like meat. This was incredibly alarming.

We called the store immediately, but the manager was dismissive and unhelpful. They didn’t believe us, didn’t ask us to bring the bowl in, and offered no apology or refund. The lack of care and accountability was shocking.

We have photos and still have the bowl in our fridge in case anyone actually wants to take this seriously. Sadly, we’ll no longer be eating at Chipotle and will be warning other vegetarians and friends about this experience.

Poor service, and poor communication. They just stare at you blankly while taking your order. They do not clarify what is included in the kids meal, and they always forget to add the salad dressing unless prompted. I’ve been to this locations several times hoping the previous hiccups were due to a newly opened establishment.

I’ve gotten undercooked chips mixed in with overcooked chips. I’ve also gotten hair in my cheese.

Also, they are so stingy on their portions. I’ve watched them pour less than the scooping amount. Chipotle is known for their filling meals due to the portions. And I’ve been dissatisfied on many occasions at this location. I even paid extra for a protein scoop, but it ended up being the same size as one scoop elsewhere.

I had a fantastic experience at Chipotle, and I want to give a special shoutout to the chef behind the counter! The food was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The grilled chicken was tender and juicy, the rice was fluffy, and the seasoning on the beans and veggies was just right — not too salty, not too bland. You could tell that everything was made with care and attention to detail.

What stood out even more was the speed and efficiency in the kitchen. Despite the lunch rush, the chef kept everything moving smoothly while maintaining top-notch quality. The portions were generous, and the presentation was clean and inviting.
