I just called the restaurant and asked a few questions for me to feel comfortable to buy their food or not as a Muslim. As when it comes to halal cuisine it's a matter of trust, Because too many different sects have too many different rules that may not work for my beliefs. When I asked the worker/owner kindly 2 questions on the phone he quickly got upset and offended and hang up on me before I was even able to finish my question and explain why I'm asking, instead of being polite and patient with my concerns and to give me rest of assurance that everything is to my liking in terms of my rules that I follow as a Muslim. It's not the first time unfortunately that I see such behaviour. It is too bad for him and his business and he will quickly lose ground with such close mindedness. I'm a very open and loving person towards any religion or belief and make only a difference for myself. But there are things that need to be in order for me before I can eat at a restaurant or not. Unfortunately unfortunately this ignorant and rude person has not yet understood what real customer service means or even what real Islam means...
He just called me back and threatened me with police because of my review here on Google! How redicolous is this?
You just lost a customer and further Rizq from Allah! And I'll make sure others will know about your...
Read moreLate on writing this but still worth it! On July 8th I tried this place out for a family BBQ we were having - I am hesitant on trying new halal places simply due to previous experiences...but glad I tried this one! I picked up ribs, wings, tandhoori chicken and ordered a large pizza to try. I was taking this with me to Chilliwack as thats where my family lives so I asked politely if they could not put cheese on 1/4 of the pizza. I know it must be annoying to have such requests so I asked if it wasn't any trouble...the lady was confused and said why? I explained that my parents do not like or eat cheese...to which she laughed and said "who doesnt like cheese" - I agree lol. However everyone has their likes & dislikes right? Anyways, I left for about 20 minutes and when I came back to pick up the pizza, the guy had made me a small pizza with no cheese!!! Just as a kind gesture and when I tried to pay for it he said "you are taking this to Chilliwack which is far & its your first time here so just try it and let me know what you think". I was so shocked but appreciative...so was my Father when I told him!!
The pizza was good...everyone loved the cooked meat the next day...and best of all the service was good! Thank You! Will be coming...
Read moreI think Google Maps misclassified this place to be Italian restaurant. It is actually a halal meat shop that happens to also sell pizza and fried chicken & wings.
Interesting selection of frozen sausages, burgers and kebab. Also see marinated chicken. I was there for the cooked food.
The pizza is really good - generous toppings and cheese. Better than the many mom & pop pizza places in Surrey and the popular pizza chains.
Some folks may find the fried chicken coating a bit plain since we are used to the thick crunchy and heavily favored dough from Popeyes, Hi Five, etc. Here, the chicken is fresh (duh, meat shop) so the light dough brings out the juiciness and freshness of the chicken.
It does take at least 20 mins to get your order. So best to...
