First of all, based on nice reviews, we wanted to try out this place during the weekend and called for booking a table for 2 at about 5 pm. We were told it’s going full and earliest we could have is 8:30 pm. We told we would like to be there at 5:30 pm as we were very hungry and after a lot of thinking and bordering on hesitation, they told that we could come in by 5:30 pm. My partner was telling that they would make up and might play pricey in order to improve the image of the place!
The moment we entered, we realized almost 80% of the premises was empty and it was so for the next an hour or so, proving my partner right. We settled down and quickly browsed the menu and ready to order in about 5 minutes. The ambiance was superb and we expected a superb fine dining experience with regard to the service and food quality!
But, for the next 30 minutes, nobody bothered to check on us and I had to go and approach someone and I was told she would inform someone. After about 5 minutes she herself appeared and told she herself would take the order. She could’ve done it in the first instance when I approached.
We ordered only few items as this is our first time and we wanted to really check out how it would go! Hung cheese kabab, Jodhpuri Dal, Lamb shank, pine apple coconut pinacolada and roti! Jodhpuri dal was a failure and we did not proceed after the first spoon. Lamb shank was well cooked but somehow the masala was rich in onion paste and tasted sweet. Pinacolada was a huge mistake as the glass was very small and half of it was filled with ice and the actual drink was only about 45 ml. Cheese kabab was somewhat ok!
Most striking aspect was, for the quality and quantity of items served, the items were very pricey! True that costs are increasing day by day, but if we presume this to be the baseline, their prices would still go up with excuses! Giving 2 stars for exceptionally clean modern washrooms!
Will think twice to repeat the visit - major reasons - no prompt service, not that great tasting food and on the whole, very pricey for what you get, rating poorly on value for money scale! Won’t recommend to friends and relatives!
If at all you want to try, study the menu, ask questions about each item thoroughly and place the order to avoid...
Read moreI had heard really nice things about this place and went there very excited but the service really disappointed me. When we reached we asked the hostess if they had an open table and she said no, not even telling us when they would have one available as if she just wanted us to leave. Then we inquired about the wait time and we were initially told it’s a 20 minute waiting and we said okay no worries - although we were starving. Cut too 50 minutes later and still no table has been given to us. When we asked the hostess she straight up said what can I do if other people are not leaving ? I cannot ask them to leave now can I ? Excuse me ?! Wdym what can you do ? If you had just been honest we would have left and not wasted 50 minutes starving. After that we finally got seated. It took the servers half an hour to give us water and menus. We literally had to request for it twice. After the order was placed we waited quite a while for the drinks menu which was never given to us and after it was given no one asked us what drinks we would like to order! The food came and it was the only highlight of the day. The soya chaap, tandoori chicken, paneer kofta, chicken do pyaza were the only things that I liked about this whole experience. After we got our food no one came to check on us and ask us how our food was tasting if we want anything else of not. And to think they advertise themselves as a fine dine this was the least they could do after the experience we had. In the end no one even asked us for dessert they asked us if we wanted the bill. They really were in a hurry for us to leave I guess and if that’s the case don’t open a restaurant where you know people will come to eat and have a good time. Usually I’m never quick to judge a place because ofcourse restaurants have odd days when it gets busy unexpectedly. But the behaviour of the staff from the get go was just so rude and unprofessional never visiting again no recommending other people to visit. 0/10. One of my worst restaurant...
