PRICES ON THEIR WEBPAGE ARE WRONG!
TLDR: food is average. Not a lot of flavor. Beef was pretty gnarly. I won't be returning. I was charged way more than their webpage prices.
I recently ordered from here for the first time. I googled Chinese restaurants in my area and found their webpage. I placed my order based on the prices on their online menu. I wanted to order a family combo but every one comes with wonton soup which we don't eat. I was surprised they don't offer any alternatives. I just wanted a standard meal with chow mein, chop suey and rice etc. I've never seen a Chinese restaurant that didn't offer this option.
So we ended up having to order each item individually which cost more. We chose chicken chow mein, beef chop suey, pork fried rice, almond chicken, General Tsao chicken, 3 orders of spring rolls and a couple other items. We picked up our order which was ready pretty fast. About 20 mins. The location is horrible. I feel bad for the owners. It's hidden away in the back of a building out of public sight. I can't see them getting much business. No one can tell it's there.
The restaurant was clean, the lady at the till was very friendly. The place was empty on a Saturday night. The price was a lot higher than expected so we compared our bill to their webpage and everything was a couple dollars higher which adds up when you order 8 things. I can understand if I had ordered based on an old menu someone had posted on google or yelp but this was THEIR webpage. I feel if a restaurant chooses to have a webpage they should keep their info current.
The food itself was average. Not a lot of flavor. The meat was really chewy and I had to spit a few out. My boyfriend liked it but I wasn't at all impressed. I give it 2 stars, my boyfriend gives it 4 so I'm giving them 3 on this review. I won't be going back. The food wasn't visually appealing at all. If you look at my pics you'll see...
Read moreI don’t often do reviews, but felt that tonight I would. We always struggle with where a good decent place to order Chinese food in the Fleetwood area is and decided to try Dragon Chop Suey House. The dishes were very fresh, large portioned and very tasty. Don’t know why we did not try before, as it is right around the corner from us. Well I sincerely hope the next time is as good an experience as this one. We spent twice as much going into Langley a couple months ago and the food was not any better. Thank you for making this a good experience for our family and please do not disappoint the next time as that seems to be our experiences thus far. One time great, the next time “meh”! So keep it up. Oh yeah and btw, I was on the phone listening to the lady take another person’s order and she was extremely polite and professional, which from reading other reviews, is not always the case. So...
Read moreThe food was alright but I couldn’t judge it accordingly; I was given the wrong order. When I walked in I gave her my phone number and she brought out my order. I paid for it and left. When I opened it up i see that it was the incorrect order. I called to let her know and then she sounded annoyed at me when it was HER that gave me the wrong order. I was going to bring it back but at that point I was already 15 minutes away and then the attitude I got for HER error was annoying enough for me to not bother going back. I even tried going the extra step by calling her to let her know I was not going to bother coming back but she did not answer my call. Of the food I had been given - it was OK the sweet and sour pork was good and the fried rice was not bad. The crispy wontons were tasty...
