Sept 16-23 Hope the owner of Golden Samosa is reading this one. I wrote my review couple weeks ago. As I have said, your food is really good or I would not be going back here. Today I went to buy pakora and mentioned over the phone to please make sure it is a pound. When I went to this location to pick up my order, an older lady came out and embarrassed me in front of a lot of your customers that I’m the guy who’s always complaining about the weight. That I’m writing reviews. She wanted me to bring my own scale to check. I told her that if there was a digital correctly calibrated scale on the counter for all your customers to see, then there would not be any issues. Which is also legal. This is not a good customer service. She could have pulled me on the side to talk but no, right in front of everyone. As I was walking out, one of your customer came to me and said that he agrees with me. He also noticed some in consistency in the weigh and also agrees that you should have a scale in front like all other sweet store. Hope you will do something about this as I want to continue to buy from you but you also have to understand that there are other Samoa places and people read review comments before coming. Please explain to this lady the reason why businesses have review sections so they can learn and improve. Not to humiliate customers who write their experience.

Pakora and samosas are very good but be careful when you buy pakora. Twice they gave me less than a pound and today again. I have digital scale at home. I weighed today and it’s less than a pound. It’s always so inconsistent. Legally they should weigh in front of you but they weigh in the back so you don’t see it. Maybe someone should get hold of measurements Canada. Just my thought. I don’t like...

Disappointing Samosa Experience at Golden Samosa

I recently visited Golden Samosa Bakery for a takeaway order of samosas, hoping to enjoy a taste of authentic Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.

While the timing of my order was satisfactory, the quality of the samosas was deeply disappointing. Upon biting into the samosa, I was shocked to find that the filling consisted solely of boiled white potatoes, a few pieces of green peas, and minimal seasoning. This lackluster filling was far from the flavorful and aromatic samosas I am accustomed to enjoying.

As an Indian individual, samosas hold a special place in my heart, and I was truly disheartened by the subpar quality of the samosas at Golden Samosa Bakery. It is crucial for restaurants to accurately represent their dishes, and I believe that customers should be informed if the samosas offered do not adhere to traditional Indian standards.

Overall, while the timing of the order was acceptable, the disappointing quality of the samosas overshadowed any positive aspects of the experience. I hope that Golden Samosa Bakery takes customer feedback into consideration and strives to improve the authenticity and flavor of their offerings...

I kid you not when I say they are one of thee best samosas I’ve had! They have an award to prove it (see photos) 😂 I was in Surrey and was craving for samosas, and found this place on google. I wish I knew about them sooner! They’re located in a commercial area and may take a few more turns to find, but it’ll all be worth it once you take your first bite into their crispy, flavourful freshly-made samosas. I have to say, compared to when I first had these (before their prices went up) the flavour isn’t as rich, nonetheless, you most likely won’t stop after just one! 🤤😋 I’ve tried both their potato & peas, and garden mix vegetables but the potato & peas is my go to. They have sauces you can purchase on the side if you want a slightly sweetened flavour to the samosa, but it’s just as good on its own.

A somewhat newer addition to their menu is their pakoras, which they sell by pound. I like how it’s made of potatoes and red peppers. The red peppers have a natural sweetness to them and makes a perfect balance for this deep-fried snack. Super delicious! I order more and end of freezing the rest. When reheated, it’s just as crispy and flavourful.

Definitely recommend this...

Golden Samosa Bakery truly delivers on flavor and variety! From the classic potato to the unique butter chicken samosas, there's something here for every taste. The mixed garden samosas are perfectly spiced, and the chicken ones are packed with savory flavor. Each bite is crispy on the outside, with a deliciously fresh filling inside. The bakery’s dedication to quality is evident in every bite, and they bring that special touch to make every occasion feel festive. The staff is friendly, and they make sure each order is prepared with care. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, flavorful samosas in Surrey!
