Indo Fiji Supermarket — Local services in Surrey

Indo Fiji in Surrey is a decent Indian store, but it comes with its set of challenges. I've been here a few times, and here's my experience.

On the positive end, they offer a reasonable selection of Indian spices, grains, and snacks. I appreciate that they have some fresh produce and a variety of cooking ingredients that can be hard to find elsewhere. The staff has always been polite and willing to help when I had questions.

Anyways, the layout of the store leaves much to be desired. It can be quite congested and disorganized, making it a bit of a hassle to navigate, especially during peak hours. It's not always easy to find what you're looking for, and this congestion can be frustrating.

Also, one of the most significant drawbacks is the high prices at Indo Fiji. Their products are notably more expensive than at other Indian stores in Surrey.

First time coming here and I was so surprised at how much they had --all kinds of food that you'd get in the tropics ranging from fresh to canned to frozen and the quality was very good. Prices were reasonable. Then there is all the items you would need for pujas, Diwali, etc.. I didn't have time to look around at everything but we were already there for over 1.5 hours while my father searched for all his Diwali items. The staff here are SO friendly and helpful. Came all the way from Victoria just to buy dalo bhajji, and what I got was nothing but garbage. The produce was rotten, completely unacceptable. Selling spoiled produce to customers isn’t just disappointing, it’s dishonest. Feels like robbery. I noticed I’m not the only one — saw another review mentioning the same issue. Clearly, this isn’t a one-time mistake.

Beware, everyone. Check your produce carefully before buying. I sincerely hope the store owner takes this seriously and stops selling spoiled...
