Well If there was an option for 0 star I would give them 0. Not because of their food but because of their customer service. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Specially the GIRL at the counter she don't know anything about good customer service. She's so rude and don't know how to deal with the customer. So here's what happened:- I ordered 3 different parathas ( aloo, paneer and gobi ) and I mentioned no onion and please make it MILD!! I repeated that line 10-15 times honestly so the girl at the counter make sure to tell the cook to make it mild as I can't handle spicy food. It was suppose to be my lunch at work In which I had to pick up the food and eat. And I had only half an hour to do all that. So I went there I paid for the food and the GIRL at the counter no smile nothing fine by me!! But after paying she just put the food bag at the counter and went to the other side. I mean Hello!! Where are your manners ? I paid so now I should just grab the bag myself and get lost from there. This kind of attitude she was giving me. I mean you don't have the courtesy to give me the bag ? How long it takes ? A second probably!!
Well whatever I picked up the food went to my office and I opened the Parathas and guess what they made it Freaking SPICY that I couldn't even eat them at all. So I stayed hungry all afternoon. Thanks to the GIRL at the counter for not paying attention to my order even after I repeated zillion times. I called them talked to different person I think but no sure may be he's son of the owner of this place . His name was Harry, I told him about the mistake they did and how the girl at the counter was rude. He apologized and told me to come again to pick up the Parathas. But call them 15 mins before I leave so they make it fresh.
Well I did what he told me to. So I called them and again that GIRL at the counter picked up the phone. And there I go, I told her about my order and she's like I know about that pick it up in 10-15 mins and while i was telling her again that please make sure it's MILD this time!! She Hung Up! On me while talking. I mean what's wrong with this girl ??
Well I called back then she picked up again and I told her that she hung up on me while I was talking and she was rude to me and guess what she said in reply ? OK!! Hhaha yea!! She just said okay!! Well I didn't wanna talk to this girl anymore so I said whatever and hung up the phone.
I have nothing wrong against this place as I've been ordering food from them for more than 5 years because they make the best food. Almost everything !! But if they wanna keep their reputation, they should get rid of people like her who provides such a bad customer service that you don't even feel like going back there again!!
And last thing that made me bit more upset when I went there again to pick up the right Parathas. The guy I talked to on the phone who apologized "Harry" he saw me, he's like once second someone's bringing Parathas from back. And that's it .. total ignore!! He didn't say anything in person that this won't happen again I'm sorry. They gave me the food and he went on the other side that's it. No apologies nothing. I mean I'm not dying to get your Parathas!! And that's not the real reason I went back there again!! Show some respect to...

5/5 sweets - honestly steer away from the new, colourful, aesthetic stuff. The classics are really good tho!! Probably best in Surrey, maybe even top tier in lower mainland. Rasmalai, Gulab Jamun, Barfi, boondi ladoo, milk cake all are great, almost indian level good!! 5/5 Gravies / sabji / paneer dishes ( mains ) 4/5 breads / roti / naan etc. Fresh if you ask for it, soft, good taste, not too thick. 3/5 drinks - overpriced and too sweet but okay 3/5 chai --- no masala, weak, disappointing! Please work on it! It's better than the last time, but still not great. Chai should stand on its own with NO sugar, if it needs sugar to be drinkable than IMO it is bad chai. There should be a masala mix of elaichi, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, anise, allspice mix etc. 4/5 washrooms. Clean and presentable+ pretty! but toilet paper was missing lol, probably not everyday occurrence tho. 4/5 premises. Comfortable and clean but the booths near the kitchen can hear everything. the paint job seems unfinished on back wall. Carpet clashes. Dollar store jugs and glasses. The ceiling and most walls are very well done, but there are definitely places that need work. Point is, that it's not very pretty in places lol, but it's not a big deal as long as it's clean for casual meals, personally I wouldn't have important meals or client meetings here, unless I booked the private room. 5/5 service. I've always gotten good service here, fairly quick for food. Note that I really dislike the staff shirts, but that's honestly irrelevant unless you're considering business meetings.
Recs: i like the paneer dishes, the pav bhaji, the veggie burger and the Malai chaap. My mom really likes the Raj kachori.
I have eaten here multiple times, and they are staple in Surrey for a good reason. Overall a tried and true Indian restaurant. Not trendy, and the premises are simple and functional but the food is overall good, which at the end of the day is what matters! I do think that the level of quality they have makes the prices a little high, but for the most part...
Read moreAggarwal Sweets!!! What Happened?!
I’ve been going to Aggarwal Sweets for years. I’ve always loved their sweets (especially the samosas) and even though I’ve had a few bad experiences before, I kept giving them another chance because I thought, okay, maybe it was just a bad day. Sadly, after today, I think I’m done.
We got chana kulcha, a sandwich, and a dosa. I wish I could say at least one of us enjoyed our food, but nope — all three meals were terrible.
Dosa: The potatoes inside were cold, like it came from the fridge and then just thrown into the dosa without heating. The dosa itself was broken in the middle, the crust was BAD, the sambar had mystery overboiled vegetables. The chutneys were straight out of the fridge and served in plastic. Oh, and the dosa was served on a plate that was way too small, so even eating it was a struggle. poorly mashed potatoes… honestly the worst dosa I’ve ever had.
Sandwich: Came with chips straight from a packet — which were actually better than the sandwich. Same small plate problem.
Kulcha Chana: They called it “kulcha,” but it was basically double roti, not even toasted properly, and the chana was clearly stale.
We thought we’d at least end on a good note with sweets (because that’s what Aggarwal is known for). Big mistake. The milk cake was gooey, overly sweet, and stuck to our teeth.
This isn’t a one-time thing either. Since their renovations, I’ve noticed the food quality going downhill. Once I ordered samosas for guests, and one of them was completely empty inside. Embarrassing, especially after I’d been hyping them up.
I honestly don’t know what happened here, but this visit crossed the line for me. If they can’t make a dosa properly, why even put it on the menu? I’m sad I have to find a new place for my samosa fix… so if anyone has recommendations, send...
