Indian Haveli — Restaurant in Surrey

A new restaurant in the heart of Surrey that has become my go to Indian Restaurant.

The restaurant is located right beside the Superstore on King George Blvd with plenty of free parking. The interior is spacious, clean and simple. You know they are selling you quality food and not decor.

We were quickly served and we ordered the Indian Mango Shake. It was quite refreshing on a hot summer day and the mixed dry fruit toppings were a pleasant surprise. We ended up ordering another one by the end of our lunch.

For appetizers, we got the Golgappa and Fish Pakora. The golgappa was simply the best I have ever had. The Lmli Pani was in a very appetizing mint green colour and was a perfect compliment. I ended up drinking the leftover throughout my lunch. The fish pakora was fresh and made just right. It was light and not too oily while maintained its flavour.

For our mains, we ordered the Mixed Grill (chicken tikka, prawns, lamb tikka, fish tikka), Garlic Naan, Basmatii Rice, Curry Lamb, and Butter Chicken. The garlic naan arrived first and we were able to smell it at the moment it left the kitchen. It tasted even better than it smelled. It is a must have! The freshness and the balance of yogurt and spices is what set Indian Haveli apart from all the other Indian Restaurants. You can tell everyone that works here love and take pride in what they do. Needless to say, there were plenty of leftover and it was gone before the end of the night.

Will definitely go again and...

Poor service I ever received from an Indian restaurant I have seen their owner he is nice and want his customers to enjoy what they paid for . I placed an order online over skip and they missed 1 of my items and I called in restaurant and a girl who picked up my call said sorry and she said I will give it to you free next time. 1 I paid for it spend $11.90 on it before even asking her staff she was arguing with me and she said I have other calls come in I have to answer those as well and she said I have so many customers waiting here I need to attend them . Which means I am very important to them?? She had no idea how to talk to customer I asked her to pass to a manager she said he is busy and I talked to other girl afterwards she was polite , better than her. I am working in food industry for 5 and half years we do make mistakes but we should at least apologize to customers and give them importance and solutions. It’s not about $12 I worked for 11 hours shift and order because I don’t want to cook if I am missing my item obviously it’s something that I would be mad about . Depends on you how to manage it . I haven’t been to Indian Haveli before, this was my first time. My parents and I had went there for my birthday dinner tonight. As soon as you walk in it’s a really nice atmosphere and you expect just as great service and food but sadly this wasn’t the case at all. The customer service is awful just terrible. The wait time to get your food after ordering is ridiculously long. if your planning on coming here PLEASE I BEG have a full meal before coming here because by the time you get any service and your food you’ll be starving and you’ll be glad you had food beforehand. I wish I had gotten the name of this one girl working there, she came up to our table to ask how we were doing and I told her the truth that we’re disappointed with the service and food. The almost angry look that came over her face was enough to tell me that clearly they can’t take any honest negative criticism and that is why I’m leaving this review. This also goes for the food, the food is below average and not good whatsoever besides maybe just the chicken curry and gol gappay. Definitely won’t ever be coming back again and If anyone is willing to come here, good luck waiting...
