Our waitress pushed us to try the Wednesday special, large pizza for $19.95. We brought up at that time that my friend, whose birthday we were celebrating, had an email from Boston Pizza to get a free birthday dessert. The waitress didn't seem to have any issue with that and we went through our meal, with slow drink service (we had to suck on ice to cool the spice from our cactus cut potatoes before she finally came back to give us refills) and slow bill delivery. By that time, we were late for our next appointment so I paid and left. Imagine my surprise when I got home later on and saw I was charged an extra ten dollars for the pizza she had pushed us as being on sale!
I tried to call and got no answer, and then bit the bullet and drove out the 20 minutes it takes to get from home to the restaurant, only to be faced with a dismissive manager, who first blamed the mistake on us using the free dessert coupon and that the waitress should have told us that we couldn't use both... then afterwards saying it was the waitresses fault for forgetting to press a button after the coupon was rung in. In the end, I got ten dollars in cash, but I still had to pay tax on the extra ten dollars I was charged, not to mention having to drive the extra 40 minutes for a mistake that never should have been made. I eat at Boston Pizza Cloverdale all the time and always have awesome service. Obviously I was mistaken to expect anything out of Boston Pizza Newton. Me and my bf have been to other Bostons Pizza's and their service is awesome , we always come in for happy hour every second week and must say the service at King George Bp is so awful , we always get our usual 3 shrimp tacos each and cactus cut potatoes , all the other boston pizza's servers serve it to us on a silver tray with a plate with the 3 shrimp tacos and the cactus cut potatoes in a bowl served on top of a brown wax paper so nicely keeping it fresh and hot but the boston pizza at king george , the server comes takes our order the whole time she was taking our order I can tell she was going to mess up since she didnt have a pen and small notebook to take the order like other boston pizza servers do when the other servers brought the tacos they served it individually on a single plate instead of putting it all on a silver tray with a plate and the cactus potatoes were just put on a plate and served which made it turn cold. When I asked the gurl who was serving "why are you guys serving it like this"she was like "this is how a happy hour is served " I was like um no! other Boston Pizza's dont serve like this. We had plates all over our table it was so embarassing , like use your head common sense literally! I was so furious I didnt even want to tip the server , not only did she mess up but she wasn't even paying attention when taking the order. Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. From the minute I called they had me on hold for 30 mins just to simply take my order. The workers are very incompetent, they had me repeat my order 5 times. I asked for no bacon on my pizza because I haven't ate bacon in 5 years. Today I accidentally ate it because they totally disregarded me telling them to not put bacon on the pizza. I specifically asked for ice cream with my brownie, low and behold, no ice cream aswell. I called to let them know I was in the curbside pickup for my order (which I specifically had ordered my food for curbside pickup) when I called I was asked for my last 4 digits of my number, which I gave, then I was asked for my name, which I gave, I asked politely for some cutlery in the bag aswell (again no cutlery in the bag either). Then the girl tried to tell me I had to come in to get my order, I told her I've come to this location plenty of times before and that they just bring the machine out to pay. She had me on hold for another 10 mins to which she comes outside while I am still on hold, when she came to my window I asked if she had added the cutlery to the bag, which she told me she didn't. She said she could bring it, and so I paid for my order and then waited for her to bring me the cutlery (she didn't bring me cutlery).
