I went there after watching the reels of a man who tries to promote the business on instagram. In videos, he seems too welcoming and respectful. To be very honest, in person, he was not like that at all. He was very straight forward and rude like who does not have a sense of what to say or what to not. Food was not good. Raj kachori was not good. Bhatoora was very very oily and chhole was average. I asked the server, if the spring rolls are the frozen ones to which she denied, when it came on our table. By looking at them, i realized those were frozen ones. I dont know why she lied about it. Afterthat, i bought some sweets for my sister and me. I specifically requested the girl that i would like the brown pieces of the milk cake. She was kind enough for me to double check but then that guy came and disrespectfully said we have only brown pieces with an arrogant expression. I will attach the pictures so that he can see what he gave to me even though i requested them so politely. I will never recommened that place and i would like to request this business that the way you try to grab customers online, please try to serve them with same respect and value their time, requests and feedbacks. I came specially from burnaby but now am sure i will never go there because of that guy.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "An Exquisite Taste of Punjab! My recent visit to Maharani Sweets & Restaurant was an unforgettable culinary journey that transported me back to the flavors of my hometown in Punjab. From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of authentic spices filled the air, promising a delightful experience ahead. I started with their golgappa, which burst with flavor with every bite, followed by the innovative noodle burger, a delightful fusion of textures and tastes that left me craving for more. The tikki chat was a symphony of spices and freshness, perfectly balanced and immensely satisfying. And the manchurian, with its perfect blend of sweet and savory, was a true testament to the culinary mastery of the chefs. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, reflecting the hospitality of Punjab. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Overall, Maharani Sweets & Restaurant exceeded all expectations, delivering a culinary experience that was not only delicious but also nostalgic. I cannot recommend this gem enough to anyone craving authentic Punjabi flavors. A must-visit for all food enthusiasts!"

Pathetic place that has below average recipes for their food. And even the service is so lazy that you are going to eat by dinne time if you end up in lunch. The lady at the bar was very courteous and understanding but seems like that she had a lot of pressure under which she was working. We ordered a couple of things and our total bill was approximately $100. But the sad part of the story is that nothing was worth even hundred cents. The soya chop was chewy, like a rubber, extremely salty. Chicken curry was cold and again, massively salty with no flavor in it and to my humor they forgot replacing the chicken curry and I just recalled it when I was about to finished my meal. The Naan breads had the ash from the walls of clay oven, and literally had black stones in it. I'm surprised that how these restaurants don't even bother about such feedback and gave us a full bill without any hesitation. Indian food seems to have lost it's credibility in the west

Your treatment of your staff is shocking. It was obvious during my visit that you speak rudely to your employees, often in front of customers, which is both unprofessional and embarrassing. No good restaurant runs on fear or disrespect. Instead of encouraging your team or appreciating their efforts, you constantly belittle them, which not only lowers their morale but also creates a negative atmosphere for everyone dining in. A restaurant’s culture reflects its leadership — and your unprofessional attitude sets the worst possible example.

The irony is that while your staff is doing their best, you are the one dragging the place down. The food is inconsistent, overpriced, and not worth what you are charging. Hygiene is questionable, and instead of addressing these real problems, you spend more time being harsh to your employees. Customers notice this. It ruins the dining experience completely when the owner is more focused on shouting at staff than on running a proper restaurant.

Let me be very clear: your employees deserve respect and appreciation. They are the only reason customers have any reason to come back. You, however, as the owner, come across as rude, arrogant, and extremely unprofessional. Until you change your behavior and start treating your staff with basic decency, Maharani Restaurant will never reach its potential.

As a customer, it was painful to see hardworking employees being disrespected right in front of us. You may own the business, but it is your staff who keep it alive — and the way you treat them is unacceptable. I would never recommend this restaurant as long as such unprofessional ownership continues.

Sincerely, A...

Poondh Aashk. They don’t care for the families coming into the restaurant.. We are from out of town, and have loved the food in and around Surrey but were extremely disappointed with the service here.

The bigger lady behind the bar got us seated into the dining area and helped us place our order. We waited for the food and received some of our order first (ordered 2 Thalis). The rest of us sat and watched them eat lol.

The rest of our food eventually came out, we asked for green chilis and the lady said she’d go look. We also asked for more water and an extra plate as our dishes were dirty from the chicken starter. She did not arrive back with the plate so I was the only one sitting waiting for a plate to put my sabji n roti in while the rest of my family was eating.

Eventually she brings out a plate, forgot about the water so went back for that, and the green chilis are unheard of 😂.

We ran outta naan and were sitting there for so long, we had to literally go up to the bar area and tell the owner to send someone down to our table. She comes and we tell her we need more naan. The naan once again didn’t show up, we were literally missing spoons so couldn’t even eat our cold sabjis. So we just asked for the bill….. owner ended up charging me for the naans that didn’t show up and gave me 10$ in change back.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. People visiting, don’t trust all their friendly TikTok’s lol. I would attach the bill but paid $100 for...
