I wanted to like this place, I really did. I usually champion for small mom and pop places but this place fell short . By the rating I suspect most either have low expectations or have not eaten any decent Thai food .
Jungle Curry 2/5 Lacked flavour and seemed to be just red curry w/o coconut milk. We requested spicy and it was bland watery and mild . Jungle curry is usually spicy flavourful and hits you with a punch . This one consisted of frozen bagged veg along with a couple cubes of eggplant . No fresh green peppercorns , grachai, lemongrass or even small Thai eggplants . At a $18.00 price point this was sad . I’m not Thai and make better jungle curry at home .
Som Tam (Papaya Salad) 1/5 Their Som Tam consisted strangely of mostly a bet of full iceberg lettuce leaves with a sprinkle of grated green papaya on top . It was very sweet and the green papaya appeared to either been shredded a long time ago or the bagged variety and soggy(not crisp or crunchy ) it lacked fish sauce and dried roasted chilli and at $14 is a total rip off given its mostly iceberg lettuce leaves . Had to pay $3.00 extra for a side of nam prik pla (fish sauce w/ chilli). Which can be found on the table of most Thai places.
Rad Na Noodles 2/5 Again bland and with copious amounts of frozen cauliflower veg mix . Noodles were soggy and gravy La led any taste .
Khao Soi 3/5 The best dish of the night though from a pre-made curry paste again . Also no chicken on the bone (drumsticks) but a small amount chicken thigh / breast pieces . Definitely not the khao Soi you would get in Chiang Mai . At least they got the type of noodle right.
Spring Rolls 3/5 Standard store bought pre-made spring rolls . Nothing great about them .
Rice 1/5 Total obscene rice prices $7.00 (medium) for two bowls of rice is obscene for this restaurant. For context I spend $4.00 for a large bowl of rice at Mott 32 which is a fine dining restaurant in Vancouver. Nowhere have I seen such messed up prices for rice .
Overall for two people we spent $107 after tax and tip which is insane for the lack of quality or care put into the food .
They.really rely on having a captive audience with most guests literally clueless of actual Thai food .
The dining room was empty at 730 at night with only us there. Sad as they have an easy opportunity to really capture a market of Northern Thai / Issan / Lao cuisine that hasn’t been touched . People would be lining up and travelling to eat there if they didn’t cut corners or put effort into their food . Unfortunately it seems like they are just looking to maximize profits while letting the quality of their food...
Read morePlace is mediocre at best. Let’s start with the food. Portions are decent. I would say more on the smaller side. And for the price they are charging it’s not worth it. E.g $4.50 for a small bowl of jasmine rice like really? And none of the dinner dishes like curry etc includes with rice. Curry it self is nearly $20. When I had the Thai ready curry and rice with a pop my meal was nearly $30. Sad to say it’s a bit over priced for mediocre food as there are a lot better Thai restaurants in Surrey where the quality is a lot better and the prices are more decent. Second) horrible customer service. As the restaurant closes at 10pm the worker there always mops the floors at 9pm. I get it you want to clean up so you can leave exactly at 10 however when someone is eating dinner please don’t mop near the tables. As the place is small it self with poor ventilation all I could smell was pinesol disinfectant cleaner while I was eating my dinner at 9:05pm. The smell was so over whelming it ended up giving me a headache and killing my appetite. Please keep in mind I wasn’t the only one who was upset by this. Please retrain your employees about proper etiquette. Also, floor Matt’s either vacuum or shampoo them. Why the hell is he mopping the floor matts?! Realize that builds up mold/mildew? For anyone recommending Thai food in Surrey or delta area sabai Thai is the better one as they are Located in guildford. If wanting to try this place I’d stay away before 9pm otherwise all you will smell is chemicals in the building. This is also not my first time here as I’ve tried this place about 5-6 times now. Also, I paid $8.50 for Tom kha and all I got was 2 prawns and a whole wack of broth. Talk about getting my...

What we ordered: Dinner For Two Vegetable spring rolls 1/5 Standard store bought pre-made spring rolls. Nothing great about them and they were super bland.
Chicken Satay served with Peanut Sauce 2/5 Honestly this was the star of the entire dinner. The Satay was decently seasoned. The peanut sauce however...just no. It was essentially peanut butter watered down with some basic seasoning.
Yellow Curry with Chicken 1/5 Extremely sweet and off putting. The curry tasted like it was made from an instant curry package. There was barely any chicken and any veggies were overcooked and mushy.
Pad Thai Noodles with Prawns 1/5 It tasted like Ketchup. The noodles were overcooked and there was barely any prawns. Actually, based on the size, they were shrimp, not prawns.
Steamed Jasmine Rice 0/5 You can 110% tell that the rice is pre-made, frozen, and then heated in a microwave before serving.
Dessert 1/5 Extremely sweet and basic coconut milk based dessert with some sago pearls.
The dining room was completely empty when we went at around 6:00pm, which was already a huge red flag. It's cutely decorated but also extremely dusty and worn down.
Overall we were very disappointed with our experience. The food was bland and lacked the authentic flavors, was overly sweet, and wasn't authentic Thai cuisine. The portions were small for the asking price. The service was poor, and the staff seemed disinterested in providing a good experience, going so far as to make fun of customers who wanted a dish to be less spicy. Having heard good things, we had high expectations, but unfortunately, we won’t...
