I've been wanting to check this place out for a while. I finally got the chance and I'm not disappointed. Came here at 4pm on a Wednesday and got the AYCE Dinner menu.

I don't get why other reviewers had a bad impression about this place, but I didn't see anything that was a major concern. On the contrary, it's one of the better AYCE sushi places I've been too. Sure the sushi might seemed like it had more rice to them (not all rolls, but some), but this is a AYCE place. You won't find a AYCE/Buffet that doesn't add extra starch or whatnot to bulk up the food. The sashimi is limited to 20 pieces per person and a bit smaller then the usual gigantic pieces and the negiri is definitely half the size of a regular piece you'd find anywhere else; the fish/topping they don't skimp on either. The tempura is crispy/crunchy, the prawns are regular sized and the yam are half pieces. The gyoza was nicely crispy as well. Personally, I would get the chicken teriyaki. I was hoping for a more crispy skin, but it fell flat when it arrived to the table; it could've been the sauce though, but the chicken did seem a little dry/tough.

When I think of this place now, I think of sensible/petite pieces. Which is great because it gives you a chance to try other things on the menu. The service was quick and the servers are attentive. The best thing is they don't even skimp on your food. I've gone to many other AYCEs and when you order, you're missing a few items; hoping they you eventually forget. This place doesn't do that. They give you everything you order.

Overall, a very good experience and I recommend you check it out if you have a hankering for Japanese food. I'll definitely be back...

We've been to Nordel approx. once a month for years! We've always been happy with the value and quality of the food here! However, our most recent visit left us very disappointed. We were happy with our bentos (5-star) as usual.

Since businesses are struggling with COVID, we figured to support them and order a bit more than usual. We went with the Special of the Day (i.e. ika karaage at $9). When it arrived, we were shocked by how tiny the portion was. There were probably about six pieces in the small basket. This was a total rip off!!! When we asked the waitress if she got our order wrong, she confirmed it was correct, and told us she would tell the kitchen that the portion was too small in our opinion. That was the last time we heard from her until the bill came. At the time of paying, she did NOT ask us how our experience was. She didn't comment on anything. It was simply a pay-and-go impression. Why couldn't she had at least acknowledged that she couldn't do anything?

We came in on July 11th with the plan to tip the staff 30% during this difficult time. Instead, we were left extremely unhappy. We would have been fine if they had just acknowledged it, and apologized. Instead, we got the 'cold shoulder'... It is too bad because we don't live in Delta. We came all the way there just to support businesses that we loved in the past.

Anyhow, the other waiter who has been around forever has been great to us in the past. Too bad we were not assigned to her for this visit. In short, stick to the bentos. Avoid Ika Karage...

Went here with a few friends a couple months back, I usually don't review things but this place, oh boy. We got the all you can eat sushi. Service was spot on very friendly and welcoming and food was coming out fast. Until my friend realized that his sashimi was very slimy and didn't look right. We told the waitress about it. We didn't have a problem, just didn't want anyone else to get sick just in case. Soon after that the staff members decided to gather in the back, making it quite obvious they're taking about our table. The service after that went down hill. We were obviously ignored a 90 percent of the time by ALL waitresses, our order became 10x slower to come out.The waitresses attitude changed towards our table, straight out rude. They were never happy coming to our table, to be more exact they would never come to our table. They made it quite obvious. There was a lot of tension and awkwardness. My friends and I decided to leave so we asked for the bill. After the 6th time asking and being ignored we just stood up and paid. It seemed like they wanted us out of there right away. Never smiled, didn't feel welcoming in the end. All that for a slimy sashimi. They really need to work on their staff behaviour. (I read other reviews and it seems like some people have the same issue with the staff) I highly suggest to not go to this place. There are other places worth visiting with more welcoming staff....

The service here was great in my experience, we went on a Monday evening at 6pm and there were a few others here as well. We had the AYCE dinner menu and they were attentive to our table, taking a look at how we were doing each time they passed by. Our first and second rounds came out quickly, our third round took a little while longer to wait even though it had the least amount of food. The food itself was good. Not incredible but it was of good quality. The sashimi was the best, the portions were not huge, and they went down easily. We easily finished the max amount of sashimi allowed per person. The miso soup was good, a normal portion size. One thing I agree with other reviews here is that the nigiri pieces ratio was off, with more rice and less fish. I was noticeable fuller after eating the nigiri and cones. I also noticed some of the rice for the nigiri seemed dry or old..maybe due to freezer burn or stayed in the fridge too long. The vanilla and chocolate ice cream were mediocre, they probably just scooped it out of a Costco ice cream bucket. You can skip it. I would recommend the agedashi tofu, the shrimp tempura, chopped scallop nigiri, and miso soup, very delicious and I will order much more of it next time. Overall, I would go again! The sashimi and other items on the menu are really worth it, but the items that have rice aren't necessary and will just fill you up!
